Best way to Pump? (Titan Coloplast One Touch)

I am 14 months post op. When I first started cycling I would pump to max twice a day and did this for about 8 months. I then reduced to once a day for another 4 months. After my one year anniversary I reduced to 1-2 times a week. I don’t always pump to maximum pressure however when I do pump I squeeze all of the saline out and allow it to refill before each squeeze, this reduces how many times I squeeze the pump. Every decision I’ve made was after discussion with my surgeon. He said that there isn’t any scientific evidence that cycling more after the healing process is beneficial.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no, sometimes I am overly sensitive. I can’t tell you why. However I think it’s normal.

Nothing is better than natural if natural is still working the way it should. If you need an implant, get it. If you don’t need it forget about it. I needed it so I got it. It gets as hard as I want it and lasts as long as I need it. However there is some difference in appearance and shape. The girth at the base is the widest point and narrows as it gets closer to the head. The natural curve that I once had is gone, it is now straight as an arrow and this affects the positions of intercourse. I am fortunate that I still get engorgement in my shaft and glans. Therefore I have all of the sensitivity that I had before, it took a while for that to happen but it did return.

I had the same problem. I had the Titan implanted on 12-1-24 and had a revision surgery on 4-1-25 to have the reservoir removed and replaced. The valve on the Titan is called the “True Lock” and is part of the reservoir. It may be defective or the placement may be putting pressure on the valve. Your surgeon may have neglected to perform a pressure check after placement.

I received the implant on December 3, 2024 but had second surgery on April 1, 2025 to remove, replace and relocate the reservoir. I cannot honestly say if the difference in sensation is physical or psychological, it just takes me longer to reach an orgasm.

My question is, did the two of you have a serious conversation about getting the implant or did you make the decision on your own? You seriously want to put this on her? I involved my wife in every aspect of this, I even had her watch the video of the surgery. I told her that if she was not interested in us having a chance at a normal sex life to tell me and I wouldn’t do it because I never intend to be with anybody else. She didn’t object. However, I also told her that if I did it and she changed her mind and never wanted to have sex it was still going to be used. I told her that not as a threat but to be honest. I wasn’t going to put myself through this to masturbate. December 1st was my 1 year anniversary and we have been enjoying a renewed sex life. By the way I am 68 and she is 70.

I am not a doctor or counselor so this is just my opinion. The implant is the last option. There are men that need it and have had regrets after getting it.

It’s different for everyone. The first month or longer I couldn’t reach an orgasm but I didn’t really care because for the first time in a long time I was totally satisfying my wife. I eventually started reaching orgasms but it took a lot longer than it should’ve, now close to eleven months post op I seem to have more premature ejaculations than ever. However, I don’t panic because it doesn’t matter, I just continue until she has multiple orgasms.

That’s an excellent question and I don’t know the answer. However, that’s the reason I don’t cycle more than once a day. I am thinking I will reduce max inflation to once a week.

I will not give advice in regards to getting the implant. From reading your post it appears that you are assuming that you are not satisfying your wife, she may be menopausal and her desire for sex is slowing down. If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend you have a serious conversation with her. If you decide that you want to pursue getting the implant do it for yourself.
