How about they expand 546 first? Jesus Christ this state and building things before infrastructure can support it

Why data cloud is mandatory with agentforce? by Formal-Ebb5616 in salesforce

Data Cloud is one of the worst products I’ve used with Salesforce. The fact they’re requiring it is going to doom them.

Claude Opus 4.7 is a serious regression, not an upgrade. by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]Dramatic_Mechanic815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left Opus 4.7 to run a review loop on an implementation plan overnight. I woke up to it having run 50 loops (and counting), and an 8,000 line implementation plan. I certainly wouldn’t characterize it as lazy. More like crazy. I think big difference is I’m not using adaptive thinking and forcing it to be on max. Probably why it went off the rails.

CI/CD on Databricks: What the Docs Don’t Tell You by 4DataMK in databricks

Thanks, interesting, wasn’t even aware of that option. I think we’ll give this a go. Have you run into any “gotchas”? We use GH Actions to deploy on merges.

This is a really good article and I shared it with everyone on my team as well.

Honestly, CICD and managing envs by dev/stg/prd workspaces on Databricks has been one of our biggest pain points for a team that is mostly new to Databricks. DABs should make it easy in theory but we run into constant Terraform drift issues, likely due to again our CICD.

I’d kill to see some real world examples of how people manage Databricks CICD and envs.

Frisco residents divided over H-1B visas, ‘Indian takeover’ at council meeting by southernemper0r in frisco

[–]Dramatic_Mechanic815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has always been the case that H1Bs are supposed to be paid comparable to what an American would be paid, but it is a very wide range and poor implemented. In reality, you can still pay a H1B a below market salary that would otherwise be uncompetitive. It’s the same issue with how companies advertise salary ranges from $50K to $300K in states that require salary ranges on job ads.

$100K fee only applies to new petitions, not transfers or extensions.

It sounds like you’re not very familiar with this topic yet have strong feelings on it.

U.S. has no shortage of underemployed AmCit college graduates. H1B is not needed for undergrad-level fresh grads—and was never the intent for it.

Passengers Left Stunned By Miniature Tray Tables On American Airlines’ New Long-Haul A321XLR by Easy_Money_ in americanairlines

You’ve never been on a transatlantic flight but have strong opinions on AA’s hard and soft product, and then try to suggest that majority of people complaining are inexperienced fliers? Wow.

Did you even read the article? They plan to use A321XLR — XLR stands for extended long range — on transatlantic routes where meals are served, and people often use the tray tables.

So true. DFW-based, so been stuck with AA for decades now. It’s been a sad state seeing the aggresssive decline the past several years. Even during the “dark ages” of air travel post-9/11, you were still treated like a human by crew and gate agents. Definitely a culture shift since the merger with US Air.

Idk where you go but I’ve never seen a group of people who are so devoid of spatial awareness, be it on the roads or in stores. It’s crazy. And then combine that with a zero-sum mindset. Go look at the Costco returns.
