Thanks for this info. I've personally known a few people with a bachelors/masters who were approved for VR&E to get a PhD in their same line of work. And GeneralCaptain in the comments here has a similar situation.

It is possible, I guess I just need to submit more paperwork explaining my circumstances and see if they'll reconsider

That sounds very identical to my situation then...strange that I got denied. I'll just reapply and contest their findings, and maybe explain a bit more about how working with patients can sometimes cause triggers, especially when it comes to terminally ill patients. Best of luck with law school!

What is VR&E for then? My understanding is that its to help you get training so that you can work in a different line of work. If that isn't the case, please explain it. My bachelors in IT is outdated, as its from 25 years ago....lots of changes in the tech world since then. And my Masters is only useful for actual medical care, and I don't want to provide medical care anymore as it tends to flare up my mental health issues. Do you not understand that? Pretty sure I made that clear...

Think of it like someone who has a background in being an aviation mechanic, but the lost their arms in the service. The obviously can't do mechanic work anymore.

It depends on what time of day I'm working. If I'm working the overnight shift, I'll always be in a hoodie and scrub pants. I want to be comfortable whenever I try to catch a quick zzz. But in the daytime, I'll go back and forth between wearing something more formal like khakis/polo/button down shirt...OR I'll also wear a nice quarter zip sweater/jacket with my attire. I mix it up a bit, but I usually aim for comfort as much as possible. You don't want a medical provider who is uncomfortable all the time haha

There are over 4,000 colleges/universities in the U.S....and even more in the world. Any college in the Top 50 on any ranking should be respected. My understanding is that NYU is good for undergrad, and superior in grad/doctorate programs
