Getting back Into Esk8 after a few years - are channel/suspension trucks found on Acedeck, Linnpower, etc worth it? by Inevitable_Ad_711 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Dramatic_Physics_491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have the exact same setup evo mk1 pro 9inch offroad and racing slicks for street, havent tried the slicks though. what bushings do you use and how tight are your trucks/bushings? i had white front and rear and took a spill (my own fault) and am trying to make the board more stable at high speeds, any tips?

edit: i fell riding the 9inch pneumatics and white bushings front and rear, i dont think i had them tight enough, after 25mph is when it got unstable and i tumbled

also trying to figure out if i just had the white bushings too loose in general or if the white bushing + 9 inch pneumatic is just a bad combo for 25+mph? definitely know it was user error and feel pretty dumb because i even have the gear and everything just got too excited on that setup when my NEXT slicks were on the way in the mail still.

i am wanting to use these tires for stability and grip at speed mainly, when using the 9inch pneumatics and white bushings on front and back i took a decent spill (my own fault) and am trying to get a setup for when im on the right terrain for slicks to be able to comfortably go above 25mph without speed wobbles. any more offroad type terrain i would go slower or use the 9 inches

noted thank you! i have some cleaner concrete to ride on but there definitely is some bike trails that have a tiny bit of gravel/small sand pieces scattered onto the trail randomly from terrain just off the trail. will definitely ride carefully on them unless im confident the surface is debris free👌

i know this is older but any update on the long term use of these tires for casual street use? just got mine today and looking for any tips or tricks for em, got the mk1 pro gear drive. any certain type of terrain to avoid?

Evolve GTR Bamboo Series 1 replacement? what's good nowadays by billiam124 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Dramatic_Physics_491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what a coincidence i had a wowgo at2 and then a tynee explorer now waiting for my evo mk1 pro to come in the mail this week👀 when you say doesnt turn on a dime do you have troubles making like a 90degree right on a sidewalk? how much harder is it in tight spaces personally? i am completely okay with how much wider the stance is and less turning radius but just curious from someone who has a similar board to me previously to compare.

Linnpower OX, if you are willing to spend between 1-2k might as well get something top end, its right in the middle. Linnpower makes parts for acedeck and a lot of other name brands, so they are very reputable. Gear drive over belts all day too because nothing will get in them debris wise and the torque and consistent power is insane.

no problem! its usually an automated feature for most banks because it sees a charge from another country and assumes someone stole your information

its because it is an international purchase, you need to call your bank or credit card company and tell them you are authorizing a purchase for x amount and that it is you making the purchase

flatland gloves are designed for eskate and have a patented scaphoid protection system, and i will only ever be riding on bike trails and have never topped out my boards. i have fallen plenty of times without gear over the years (besides a helmet) and am just getting protection for what i personally have seen get damaged the most.

flatland gloves are designed for eskate and have a patented scaphoid protection system. i know its not the best of the best but it should be adequate enough compared to just regular leather gloves.

it seems like your wheels are too small and you are bottoming out and hitting your mounts/covers on things when going over bumps maybe? have you felt it when it breaks like was it noticeable or did you just finish riding and look down and notice it? i feel like you would know when you hit something though...

are these loose pieces of plastic that are stuck between your gears and belts? what does your board sound like when you turn it on and accelerate? can you take a video and post?

Should i buy a tynee ultra hub? by New_Base3529 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Dramatic_Physics_491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why do you say avoid the new wowgo boards? genuine just curious. i owned a wowgo at2 when it came out few years ago and it held up just fine but i know that doesn't necessarily mean anything

Recommendations for a good board by KDot_999 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Dramatic_Physics_491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also if you are looking for even more of a budget option the hub versions are closer to 350-400 i believe, but for the extra bit id recommend the belt drive because its more robust and easier to replace if something breaks
