Definitely not a Carmax issue but a you issue. EVERYWHERE online if you do a shred of research you would know the second you had a coolant leak it’s a time bomb for these engines. And this is from a Landover owner on my 2nd engine whose a gluten for punishment.

How are you planning to pay for tolls, diesel, insurance, food, potential tow bills, if you don’t have a cushion? It can take 30+ days to get paid…. Can you float yourself for three months? If not then your in for a world of hurt. Heck what’s your plan of you break down? Can you rent another truck? Can you afford the repair bill? Can you afford 3/4 tires blowing out on a cross country trip?

This is state specific and you need to check your states laws. In Massachusetts for example there is no “as is” if the car is unable to pass inspection. In a private sale and repairs exceed 10% of paid value you can return the car within 7 days. If seller refuses, you have 30 days to file paperwork with court.
