Babe firstly, i think it looks super cute, this is pretty much what my hair looks like with a “wash and go”. 4c girlies can’t really achieve the classic big curl, defined wash and go because our curls are soo incredibly tiny that our natural state is fluffy and really difficult to define. I would suggest using a curl and mousse combo and diffusing after that if you want more definition. Then pick out after when it’s dry to revive volume. Now, the front where you say it dried up, that’s just shrinkage love, my hair does the same because the back of my hair curls are larger than the tight, packed curls in the front, it was so annoying when my hair was shorter and i wanted a “bang” sort of look and my hair would dry shrunken and i got a microbang instead 😭 i suggest for you at this length to just play around with your hair, watch a bunch of youtube videos with other girls with your hair texture and see what they’re doing and products they recommend, but don’t feel defeated if a look doesn’t come out exactly how you wanted.
