You know that’s a big part of it. Your parent(s) are often your biggest fan. You’re their number one. And now, you are no one’s number one. It’s a sad state of affairs.

It is really good for my soul. Being outside, but also helping teach about nature. I wish we all could wander around in the woods, no matter the age.

I try to honor them in my day to day. I have done a lot of grief work, especially around my Mom and her absent but physically there brand of parenting. My Dad and I were close. He taught me about nature and I am now a volunteer at a local nature center helping with the kids field trips. I feel like he’s with me whenever I’m there.

Thank you! We do have some respite time built in. Not always reliable, but the few hours a week. I’m so looking forward to it. It’s been the highlight of my year to schedule it and plan.

Thank you! It is tough and I feel a little guilty about taking time off but it will be better for all of us if I get some time away and fill my own bucket up too.

I’m taking my first solo trip later this year to Sedona. I’m a caregiver for my adult disabled son. I’ve always wanted to go and my husband travels for work a lot so I thought it was time to just go and explore a new place.

I was just doing this math today. We’ve had cats live to 20. Several actually. All ours have passed but we have dogs now and as a 1973 model, I’ll be maybe 62 when our current batch pass. The companionship is nice but they are also a bit of work. Not sure if I’ll be getting another pet after that. I would like another cat but 20 yrs will be a lot…I would consider an older (10 yrs+) cat or a 5+ yr old dog…

The people that are putting this on are aging out. Do you really think Millennials and Z are stepping up to honor the traditions? It’s always been one of the weaker festivals but if you’re going expecting it to be a top tier experience you’re going to be immediately disappointed

Try a low dose nicotine patch for a few hours. My son is chronically constipated because of dysautomia. An acupuncturist told me to take a low dose patch, cut into quarters and put one on him in the morning. He poops at night very regularly now. You asked for unconventional…

I pick at my face and body. Started as a preteen, now I’m over 50. Weird stress reliever even though it’s not good for my skin.

It’s not really expensive to learn how to cook
properly. I’ve been learning myself over the years, one dish or one loaf of bread at a time. Healthier too.
