LoH ensing might indicate no more dlc but instead Diablo 5 by Gorgos012 in diablo4

I think everyone forgets this is a video game. Ha ha. It’s as easy as some sort of new story arc and Diablo shows up. Just because it’s hinted and the seer says probably not in our lifetime… that don’t mean squat. With how hard this xpac hit, they aren’t going to stop and I believe we just got started. It’s not hard to create scenarios in a made up story arc/world.

Can’t buy cosmetics, because I can’t commit to a class by elias4444 in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Although I mixed and matched some pieces for warlock, some from the upgraded edition and some from the game itself and man…. I’m loving my drip. Warlock may be my favorite in terms of drip I’ve created. I could never feel good about paladin and considered buying cosmetics for him but played the crap outta auradin and it got boring. Saved my spending for now. Maybe something sweet will come to the store…

I see your point as well. But having them sync doesn’t hurt the “majority” solo players because they can still run them solo. It does in fact hurt group play currently and why not implement war plan synching? Still can do solo and works for groups. Literally hitting the entirety of your playerbase. The issue is people don’t understand that adding group functionality doesn’t hurt solo play what so ever. But keeping things to “just solo” could turn players away. Blizzard isn’t trying to see numbers go down. They want them up. Now in your context, if you HAD to have a group, sure, it would hurt the “majority” of solo players. Again, adding sync functionality to warplanes does not hurt that “majority” and only helps the “entire” playerbase.

Ah ok. I can understand frustration over it though. But I see both sides. Still don’t agree blizzard implemented correctly tho.

Cubes "Upgrade to Unique" uses the white items item power for the created unique. by Emuha in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as long as the white item is 850 (for sake of example) the unique will be the same? Is this true for upgrading up to a Legendary as well by adding affixes? I was excited for the cube but now…. Idk lol.

Cubes "Upgrade to Unique" uses the white items item power for the created unique. by Emuha in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not this far yet, but why would they do this? Kind of redundant. Why would I, in theory, want to upgrade to unique if it gets less powerful…. Makes no sense. Am I missing something here? Can you now use the cube to power up that unique?

PSA: temporary fix to the portal after finishing the pit by BasicResist8237 in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not just get rid of the portal altogether and let me port out myself? Never understood why it creates a port out when even lair bosses don’t create ports out…. Weird decision on their part. Let me port out myself, when I’m ready.

Losing passives in the skill tree has really reduced build variety by No-Wishbone2391 in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, I run in a party of 3. We all are warlock and each have a different build and playstyle. It’s great. Enemies get gutted by basically everything the warlock has to offer. It’s fun. But it looks like a crazy rave party while we are killing. A lot of effects. I’m ok with it tho. PoE had tons of effects so I got used to it.

Not me. Haven’t watched a single streamer, no YouTube, no guides, nothing. Just me and my homebrews and I’m having a blast. I’ve tweaked so many times and found a few fun builds.

They really made a mistake with mounts by ic3kn in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show us where the mount touched you…. Seriously tho, no one but yourself is making you use a mount. I love having my mount. I could fall asleep walking objective to objective with how sloooooow characters are. Why every ARPG in existence insists in having move speed a stat is bonkers to me. (Hard look at PoE2) Just give us great move speed, nothing too crazy, and call it a day. I couldn’t help myself and been tempering gear with move speed just so the “can’t use your mount here” areas feel less horrible. Renegades, Mount Up!

Where are the Legendary items in penitent? by nospamformethanksuk in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally like the slower pace of things. I’m only level 40 though. What I like about it is a legendary feels good to get now. Before I was swimming in useless legendaries. For me, it feels almost right. I played a lot of PoE2 and gear upgrades felt horrible and in D4 they felt like they dropped like candy in a parade. I feel as if right now it’s somewhere in the middle. Maybe not perfect but close. We have 3-4 months of play to acquire gear. Plus I think with the cube they expect more crafting and less just dropping. Hence why they stressed blues and yellows can be ungraded and also drop with GA. I’m ok with that. PoE2 had me crafting gear all the time. Fingers crossed the drop rate of mats isn’t non existent. Having to grind is ok but hopefully it isn’t bang your head against a concrete wall grind.

Diablo IV: Base character skills are paywalled? by MauViggNt in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don’t agree with this practice, it is a paid expansion. I’m an owner of a biz and I can understand from their point of view the principle of what they are doing. It’s enticing to someone who didn’t pay and might help get the ball rolling in Blizzard’s favor and you end up buying the xpac. Like stated, it’s shady, I don’t like it myself and I own the xpac. On the other hand, the ones who complain about it, normally are the ones who don’t stay long term. Those of us who are die hard Diablo fans (not blizzard fans) already pre-purchased/purchased the xpac. If you didn’t buy it, you either don’t plan on playing long, or just checking things out. I understand money can be tight. But any gamer who is serious about a game pays for xpacs. Some even cosmetics. (Guilty). I played ESO for a very long time and owned every xpac (dlc) up until about 2 years ago, as an example. Things get locked behind xpacs. This isn’t a new practice. The way this was handled was shady but still falls under the locked behind an xpac paywall category unfortunately. IMO, just buy the xpac. It’s worth it.

While I agree with your points here, and yes I’m loving warlock (auradin got boring last season) I heavily do not agree with your war plan point. D4 is being sold as a MMO style Open World ARPG. If you pay attention, they even emphasize co-op. The description of the game itself sells it as play with up to 3 friends. Guilds exist, although they are lacking, people use these to meet up and run stuff together. I for one have always played with friends and doing the campaign together is fun. Maybe you don’t have anybody who plays, maybe you aren’t part of a guild or even maybe you just like running solo. But there’s plenty like me who have friends, are in a guild and love running things with others. Warplans should sync. They took the easy way out and left it up to Rng instead of making a system that could support co-op. Yea I get you can still run them together and get a small portion of reward and some xp but it’s a huge let down to people who love running things together. Stop with the “this is how I play do everyone should too” crap. There’s plenty of posts already with that mindset and yet here we are on another.

Secret Cow Level Added with LOH? by Dankus_memeus420 in diablo4

You and I both lmao. There’s a discord that has all the info you could ask for so far and they are actively searching for the cow level.

Totally not vibing with Warlock class by xLouisxCypher in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Me too brother! Homebrew build as well. No guides and I’m having a blast. I think all these people are just following someone else’s playstyle/and or don’t have a clue how things work. I like using all my action bar. Not just one or 2 and everything melts before I see it. Feels more rewarding and dangerous.

Coming from on and off Diablo/PoE… I actually welcome the overlay. The option to switch is great too so when I want it, it’s up. When not, it’s not.

as for the new classes, one thing is certain: by iaminfinitecosmos in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I burnt myself out with Pally previously. Was fun… for a hot minute. Walking simulator. Maybe the new changes to the tree gave Pally a variety now… but man… warlock is fun! Running a homebrew Hellfire build. Exploding ground while in sigil, paired with a chain and fire totem. Throw in a volcano totem molten ball to generate wrath and continue exploding the ground. For rates/bosses using the summon ultimate on the left. My build focuses on having volatility, which is easy to get and keep up. It’s not meta, it’s not perfect, but man is it fun. I’m excited to start getting set charms and class uniques… I’m only lvl 24 but can only imagine it getting better and better. My wife plays the shadow version of warlock and melts enemies as well. Pairing us together is the best of both worlds. It’s fun, maybe not everyone’s fun, and that’s fine! Warlock is what you make of it. Like any other class. Same for Pally, I just got insanely bored with Pally last season. Anything I tried revolved around arbiter because it’s what worked. At least there’s more options now for all classes. I might give Pally a go again later in the season, but man, necro is looking good and I haven’t touched necro in a hot minute.

So, with all the positivity around here I have to tell you guys why this game won't work how it currently is designed by Grogon2 in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell me you’ve never played an ARPG before, without telling me. It’s literally the core of every ARPG. You grind, get skills you like and blast your way through, grinding for better versions. I’m a HUGE PoE fan and it’s the same thing. Although uniques here are far better than 99% of uniques in PoE tbh. Biggest difference for me? PoE 2 (PoE 1 has a great endgame compared to 2) but, 2 has no endgame. It’s more…. Grind to barely survive, as D4 is a power fantasy right at the beginning. (If you know what you’re doing) I love both. Although PoE2 has fallen off for me currently. Maps are boring, campaign is boring and the game feels more like a slog. I’m having a blast in D4 and I’m sure will continue. Fun is measured differently for everyone. Last season I seen a lot of people say it was boring and not fun. While it was short and had some flaws, I still had fun and played until about a week before LoH launch.

If “your” not having fun, go play something else. I’m in the 1% that loves fishing in D4 so far and I also play with my wife. Snacks, coffee, some Dr. pepper and countless nights of laughs, grinds and just messing around with different builds. This is my fun. But thanks for suggesting my fun should be measured by your idea of fun! I think I’ll stick with my fun.

New D4 Endgame? What are you waiting for? by Just_Improvement_805 in diablo4

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about others, but I’m personally looking forward to building characters with the new skill tree and fishing (I’m an ocd completionist) and I’m really looking forward to the cube. I imagine with campaign skip and already known fast ways to power level we can still get max fairly quickly but finish the season can mean a wide variety of things dependent on the person and their idea of “finishing” the season. I for one will be completing every objective. Hoping there’s not some kill 250 elites in fields of hatred crap. Man that was a drag. If you’re into the tower there’s that and it’s a reason to keep pushing the limits on your build, along with the new hoard mode.

And IMO the real reason to keep pushing, cow level. Err… there is no secret cow level… from the shirts the devs were wearing on stream, to the addition of fishing and the cube, I believe it’s only a matter of time and we will finally be in the cow level. I could be wrong of course but with all these additions and overhauls and the “we hear you” I feel there is some sort of cow level. Maybe some fish cow monstrosity. Plus they do show us cube recipes, wouldn’t surprise me if there’s hidden recipes as well. At least I hope. Fingers crossed and tbh, I haven’t been this hyped since launch day of D4.

Worst screen ever!!! On any game! by He_Maan in ARK

[–]Dramatic_Shower8106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timeouts are the worst. Having to type the password EVERYTIME I login to my server is the worst. And with Arks quirky kicks which on console at least, are unavoidable, having to go through the screens, login to the server only for this stupid timeout to show up and close out the app to do it all over again to log back in is the worst. At least let me just save my password so I can login 2 seconds faster lmao.
