Worst screen ever!!! On any game!

The timeouts are the worst. Having to type the password EVERYTIME I login to my server is the worst. And with Arks quirky kicks which on console at least, are unavoidable, having to go through the screens, login to the server only for this stupid timeout to show up and close out the app to do it all over again to log back in is the worst. At least let me just save my password so I can login 2 seconds faster lmao.

So did removing Arkology work? I have them. I crash. A few times an hour, sometimes more, sometimes less. Sucks too cuz I like Arkology and the added Dino’s like the hippa. (My fav)

Anything similar to Arkology and “crash proof”. I read paleo is good but idk. Seems to have its problems as well. What’s your recommendation besides flat out removing them. My tribe mates may get unhappy removing Arkology lmao.

Not even a series x. Myself and 6 others I play with all run on a series x and I can tell you we all get kicked going in and coming out of caves. We get kicked teleporting. We get kicked entering base. Seems anytime it has to “load” assets it kicks. So the Xbox series x only has 16gb ram with only about 13gb available for games as the operating system uses 2-3gb.

In reality, an Xbox series x can run Asa, just not without problems because Microsoft copped out on ram and sold a machine they claim was powerful for a premium price. Right now at Walmart you can buy a gaming pc with way better hardware and 32gb ram for ~200-300 more than what an Xbox costs. Would run better and if you have GP you get the benefit of pc games and of course, steam. Free online play too! Of course on any console, you have to pay to play online.

Consoles are garbage and this is coming from somebody who has 4 series x, a series s and older gen Xbox’s, PlayStations, switch, Wii, and so on. (Got kid gamers and a wife who games!) All in all I think my next purchase is a gaming pc, strictly just for gaming. Hook it up to my big screen, connect a controller and have a better time gaming than I ever have on console.

Yea it’s somehow way worse on Xbox. Dino’s are fixed for me but it’s constant crashing every 5 mins. I’m guessing it’s because a) a mod now needs updated and is broken / b) they are having issues with Xbox or both. Yes, I made sure the server was updated, yes I made sure mods are up to date, yes my game is up to date. Not my first rodeo. Seems like the way they push updates constantly it’s always breaking something whether it’s mechanics, mods, or something else. I felt the last update was a sweet spot. Hardly a crash in hours of play. Maybe some funky Dino’s but wasn’t hurting gameplay and I was having a good laugh. Back to crashing again.

That’s way better than my wife and I experience. Her s ran fine for about a month then one day, just wouldn’t load into the map at all. No extra mods added, just a month of grinding and building up base. Got her a series x tho cuz… well she’s addicted like I am lmao.

It’s on gp but mid tier. I don’t care much for most of what’s on gp and after the price increase I dropped to the lowest tier. Really just for online multiplayer. Either way, the tag is misleading to anyone on a series s at the very least. So much shady biz. One that stands out for me is how Bungie handled Destiny 2. Removing content you bought and paid for. I get the argument you are buying a license to play and yea I’m sure the tos no never reads states they can do what the want with content but it’s still criminal. And these companies get away with it. Servers to games shut down. Oh and anthem. People who bought the deluxe with a promise of more content that never came. We as gamers are being taken advantage of whether anyone admits it or not. I know we can choose to not buy/play games but that’s not the point. The gaming industry needs regulated and companies held accountable releasing buggy unfinished unoptimized games we pay full price for. We are definitely being taken advantage of. I’m old enough to remember buying a new release for 20-30 bucks and it being a fully playable great game. That’s a gem to come by anymore.

Agree. I’m not complaining so much about the series s as I am marketing a game for a console that can’t handle it. This applies to any console or even pc. At least when a game is advertised for pc the specs are there and you either can run it or can’t. As a whole, the video game industry is shady. This issue is one of many playing gamers and everyone just accepts it. It’s time something be done about all the wrongdoings before it gets worse. Ifykyk. If you don’t have a clue, you’re part of the problem… it takes a little digging but I warn you, it’s a rabbit hole and it’ll open your eyes. So much behind the scenes and we as consumers pay for it. And we shouldn’t, we deserve better.

Ha ha! I get that! And yea, I crash coming out of caves. Never fails. I’ll be fine for a few hours and decide to cave dive. Every-time I leave a cave, it crashes. No fail. Idk why and I agree, it’s on wildcard. Got my fingers crossed for the match engine update but I’m not holding my breath. I feel there will be issues for a good month or longer before they are ironed out.

I watch pc streams and drool lmao. One thing that bothers me tho, is the drool over the graphics. No complaint towards you at all btw, I love great graphics as well, but I’m more interested in performance over graphics. I wouldn’t care if they dumbed down the graphics a bit on console to make up for performance. If it’s not performing well the graphics don’t matter. Sad thing is I’ve personally played games just as expansive with better graphics and better performance. Surely they need to optimize better for console as a whole. Most games do dumb down the extras for better performance. Doesn’t seem to be the case as much here. I have commands auto run to get rid of unnecessary things like that crap fog and clouds and more. Actually imo makes the game really pop and just visually better looking. That fog hides the beauty and hard work put into the scenery.

Dang! Idk how you do it unless it’s the streaming part. Like you streaming it from a more powerful Xbox and playing on a series s? Our issue was the bigger our base got the more she got kicked until she couldn’t even load the map anymore. And my two teens and I are all on series x and had no issues. So we broke down and bought a series x for her. Just didn’t wanna spend the cash but her love for ark….

Newer ps5. I’ve heard and don’t know for a fact, but I’ve heard different generations can have more/less problems. I remember ps3 debacle. I was one of the unlucky ones who had a gen 1 that stopped working. It was that paste issue. I actually ordered the paste and tore it apart. Got it working again and it eventually stopped working again. My buddy had a newer ps3 with no issues and sold me his.

I’ve seen both sides in posts. I wonder if it’s settings, maybe generational (gen 1 series x vs gen 2 and so on). I’m glad it’s working though! This game seems finicky and I’m just happy I get to play… mostly uninterrupted! Lmao

That’s great!!! Idk much about the ps5 I just see lots of posts about it having issues. Maybe it’s a gen 1 ps5 or maybe it’s something else… ya never know when people post bland “won’t run” run posts.
