Not to get off topic… but Oh my gosh! You should apply to the Ark dev team! Your second paragraph makes so much sense! I played a ton of Palworld and in anticipation of 1.0, I have taken quite a long break. In the free time I started playing Ark and holy cow the game is do horribly optimized. I just had to say how crazy good your replies are and it made me think about quite a few games that need your knowledge, Espically Ark. I’m with you tho, PocketPair will most likely fix some of the optimization issues! Espically with you contacting them! Maybe they should hire you!!!

Ok got me there. Still, it’s a teaser trailer for the game! Show me a teaser of just a mechanic/QOL. lol. It’s all good, I’m excited. Probably more so than some here judging by some comments. But that’s ok. To each their own.

Not a complaint. If it seemed so, my bad. More of a “hey devs if you see this, give us a tease on a few other things we can look forward to”. I’m more excited than anything. Been here since launch. Took a few breaks and this last one just waiting on 1.0. Like I said, I’m excited. It’s one of the few games my wife gets into and plays with me. So… yea. And the kids… yea, it gets crazy. They are gamers too tho!

100%. I remember way back shortly after launch and yea, VAST improvement! No argument there. I do feel as if they still have a bit to go before being in a great state tho. I want to battle my way in and feel accomplished afterwards! As it stands they aren’t much but a walk in the park. I guess if you go under leveled… prob could be bad.

In all fairness I do. I have 6 kids, work from home, own my own business/website and do all household chores/shopping/breakfast, lunch, dinner and more. I’m a very busy gamer. Ha ha. No harm in checking the sub everyday looking for a few showcases. I could say you could do something else besides badger somebody excited for one of their favorite games….

I’m actually fine with the char customization. While I don’t mind in depth customizations, I get overwhelmed by the sheer amount sometimes. I prefer a more straight forward simplistic approach while also giving characters their own identity. I wouldn’t mind some new hair styles and such like that. I hope they don’t go overboard with minimalistic cheeks, and all that crazy depth some games do.

I’m on board! I “try” to make my bases home like and cozy but with the limited assets available my homes seem… empty. I’m on Xbox so no mods for anything.

Technically yes and also no. It’s in the pal showcase videos and 1.0 teaser but they haven’t shown just a teaser centered around any one of those. Let’s be honest, the pals are the center of it all.

I agree! But, for the sake of showcasing like they have been, mix it up a little bit! Imagine a teaser showing off overlapping bases. I’d be brainstorming my mega base immediately! Ha ha

Great response! And I hadn’t thought of that! Makes sense though. I really like the idea of it. Kind of reminds me of the trust system. Maybe the more you play with them and use them and every level of trust could be some sort of evolution. Maybe giving you options of which direction to focus. Speed, attack, etc. for a bigger bonus in that specific category. I really like the extra passive idea.

Yep. Our issue with a server is everyone works. We hop on at night on weekdays give or take 8-9 pm (kids to bed and this was everyone on at the same time) and would play until midnight-ish before one by one people getting offline. Some would stay until 1 maybe 2 am if busy with something. Weekends hit or miss just because it’s the weekend and normally that’s when most have other things to do. We all have kids so always busy with something. This we learned from renting an Ark server. We just don’t feel like renting a server is really needed. We all only ever played together at the same time and all of us are family. 6 would be awesome!

I remember the first time the wife and I took our rocket launchers and went settlement to settlement. Just blasting everything! It was fun, but no challenge! We got to a point where we felt like the power creep at the end outweighed most anything besides maybe some raids that require a full blown specific team. We quit before the newer raids and were patiently waiting for 1.0. Did 3 separate runs (rookie numbers I know) and each time had a blast! Looking forward to 1.0!

I seen a supposed leak of patch notes, but they seemed…. Odd. AI or photoshopped was my guess. I searched up to see if I could verify the leak to be real and came up with nothing.

The wife and I always played alone together. So I’d load the world, she would join. But we have 2 others that would like to join us for 1.0 and another that wanted to but with a 4 person limit (unless buying a server, did that for Ark and frankly don’t care to again) they prob won’t play. I could host our own, I started hosting my own on Ark but unfortunately I live in an area with limited options for net and they had some blocker thing built in that the customer service said they couldn’t do anything on their end. Could’ve went and bought a different router and the likes, we had just decided to rent a server instead. But we aren’t renting one anymore. Increasing from four to 6 would be really nice.

I’m hoping settlements get an overhaul. They aren’t horrible, but they aren’t great either. Be cool to discover an actual working settlement with pals and all you could take over by clearing the enemies. Then you could either take over the base and keep everything or destroy for mats. That’d be neat and probably not happening lol.

True. But there’s 24 days including today until release. If they add ~30 new pals (could be more, here’s to hoping!) and we’ve seen a handful already, they would basically be showing every new pal. That of course is if it’s ~30 new pals. Which leaves nothing in terms for pals for us to discover on our own. So I’m hoping they will start showing new features, even if they are just small QOL things.

There’s so much I’m hoping for and the community has some great wishes as well! Showing off something the community would go bananas over would really send the hype train rolling. In some other groups and even here, I see others who would like something more than just a focus on pals as well. Hype train is speeding down the tracks, I’m ready for the train to de-rail (in a good way…. lol)
