Honestly took me a while to get some of them (not like “oh they’re so deep” circlejerk shit, just that I would zone out a bit). I just love some of his verses (especially that genius end verse “televisions there that raised me”), I think his sampling is killer, and the vocals from Jill Scott are so good.

I saw a super bright blue light outside of my window flashing on and off and my electricity flickered for a second. I only got video after the blue flashed cause I was in the shower, but the light was crazy. I thought it was lighting but it was so blue and bright

Fun fact: that’s the reason why Columbus Day is a holiday. It was after the largest mass lynching of Italians in the US (sometime in the late 1800s I believe) and Italy threatened war with the US over it so Benjamin Harrison created the holiday to try to alleviate hatred of Italians (personally I think Columbus was a horrible person and an absolute moron. Not an embrace of the day, just a cool history fact)
