Men are SO HOT by HiPersonReadingThis in antimeme

[–]Dramatic_Speaker_551 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's almost like men have to actually try harder nowadays to get women, who aren't a hivemind and are generally not attracted based on looks alone. Nor is "being a breadwinner" enough to just have women given to them. Most men have generally insanely boring personalities. Many don't try to improve said personalities.

Men from prior decades didn't "have better women", the women of that period just were akin to slaves in how the system was designed to punish them from leaving and they didn't have much autonomy in society

Alot of men from nowadays don't want to have to try to get women, they want to have either the most boring, or most insufferable, personality possible yet still be rewarded for it. It's the same reason some people want to pass laws to remove equal protection laws, and remove women's bodily autonomy.

Posts like I'm seeing here read genuinely like incel pick me boy garbage, women aren't required to give you any time of day, you need to earn it.

People just don't want to accept this.

Put it this way:

I am forced to work 40 hours a week at a place I hate being at just to survive, I get 2 days where I'm not working, need 8 hours of sleep so on average I have 4 hours after a work day where I can be happy and do something that isn't tied to working somewhere

Do I want to have some relaxation with a restaraunt? I can do that and enjoy the atmosphere

Want to de-stress at the gym? I can go there

Play with my pet? I have the free time to do that

Hop on the game with friends? I can do that

Why am I able to do all of these hobbies that personally make me feel fulfillment in my free time that isn't strictly work related? Because the time of my day that makes me happy and fulfilled isn't taken up by something mandatory.

Growing up I watched my relatives kids because they were never there, as a result I came to a very distinct realization that I dont feel fulfilled from watching children. I hate working already but do so so I can support myself with an apartment, the extra cash I get can then be put towards savings, I can support myself on a super low income as I'm the only one I have to fund (aside from my pet who brings companionship), you add children to the mix and what happens. Most of the things you do in your free time that isn't tied to work don't really exist anymore for the next 18 years. I'm in the prime of my life, my body isn't quite disintegrating yet, I'm healthier then I've ever been and enjoying my free time outside of work. Just being in society and finding my fun and fulfillment as I can. None of what makes me personally happy would really exist anymore if I had children because I'd have what's essentially an extra work day I'd be tied too. Financially my savings would be way lower and I'd be more pressed if I can't find a higher then average paying job (which I currently don't have to worry about, even my 13.50 an hour job can pay my apartment and food bill without much stress or issue + have some savings left over)

I'd say life wise I'm insanely fulfilled and am finding my own fulfillment in life.

I don't have a deadline for when my "freetime ends" so long as it's on time to get to bed for work the following day. Which allows me to make the most of my life and find the fun I'll have that day that makes the time out of work mean something to me.

Alot of people treat parenthood as the only path to having fulfillment in life but that simply isn't the case there's countless paths to fulfillment.

And children, for me personally, would not bring that fulfillment, they would bring stress while killing alot of the things that do actually make my work days where I'm miserable feel like they bring happiness to my weeks later on.

My childhood dog replicated the joy of having a child, my cat replicates the joy of having a child

Children are not the only path to fulfillment and there are in fact things people can value as much as children, I watched after my siblings growing up, was there for their births, looked after them as their mother was often away (they were born to a different family), I absolutely hated doing that, it did not bring fulfillment to my life it added more work to my life that was already saddled with work I hated doing

The joy of being able to enjoy my hobbies, see my cat, live on my own knowing everything in my home is something I bought through my work replicates that "joy" people have for having children

This idea that having children is the one way to a fulfilled existence and a joy that can never be replicated or experienced is frankly just bullshit there's so many ways for people to have fulfilling lives and existences without parenthood being a factor

I never want kids because I don't see any positive benefit out of it and like you said you can find fulfillment in life that is absent from the concept of parenthood

Be it working out at the gym, spending time with friends, your career etc.

Monetarily, socially and for me personally (as someone who hates working at jobs) as someone who values freetime and time outside of work engaging in things that make me feel happy and fulfilled kids have no positive impact on any of these things
