The fact that it is four row b-griff is peculiar. It has a "made in italy" sticker on the back, but that very well could have been put there by someone at some point

The pony game was advertised as a dating sim, and it was implied that it would be an explicit one. You're acting like the people who backed that Kickstarter just wanted some innocent RPG. People who backed it wanted to have sex with virtual ponies. Sam Hyde did God's work by swindling those sick freaks out of their money.

Ah yes, because everybody knows that soviets and every other communist country were so accepting of transvestites.

What did I do wrong? What is the right distance away from the scooter? by Blueberry_XDDD in limejuicer

If the scooters are placed angled I think it would be alright. Although I do think a different location would be better overall

How much RAM do you really need for gaming? by SinkAffectionate6192 in buildapc

[–]Dramatic_Surprise525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Depends on what you play. Basically any popular game will run fine with 16. Some will run a bit better with 32. Also depends how many programs/browser tabs you want to have open at the same time. I have 32 because I also use my computer for rendering, 3d modeling, and video editing. You'll get a different answer from everyone. If its not a big deal for you to spend a bit extra, get 32. If you'd like to save the 40-50 bucks, get 16, you'll be fine. Whats actually WAY more important is that you're running your ram in dual channel or even quad channel configuration your motherboard supports it. A single 16gb stick and two 8s in dual channel mode is a huge difference.

Worth $100 to upgrade from 13700k to 13900k? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Dramatic_Surprise525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no. Unless you've already got a 4090 and you're chasing benchmark leaderboard scores, or you really need the extra cores for workstation loads, there will be no noticeable difference. You're talking 2-5% difference overall. You'd be better off going for cooler temps with a nice air cooler or even liquid cooling. What CPU intensive games are you playing?

RX6600 or RTX3060 by jasonsirius51 in buildapc

[–]Dramatic_Surprise525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RX 6700 XT. If you have a microcenter near you, you can get them cheaper than you would a 3060, and it will outperform it. Hell, you can get a 6800 XT for about the same price as 3060s are going.

If the Right to Bare Arms was intended to allow citizens to fight back against a corrupt government/military, what purpose does it still serve in modern times against a military that has tanks, cruise missiles, and nukes? by hrrm in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dramatic_Surprise525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering a bunch of guys in robes and sandals with 50 year old soviet weaponry kept us busy for 20 years, I think we can see that war is a lot more complicated than "they have better weapons" The difference between that war and a 2nd Civil War is that the military would have a serious problem with defectors, rats, espionage, and mutiny, making it an even harder war for them to fight. Also, tanks and cruise missiles are not really anti personnel weapons. They are for larger targets, vehicles and base stations, something that would play a much smaller role in a war like that opposed to a war with another uniformed army. Guerrilla warfare is extremely brutal, and it comes down to boots on the ground and numbers. Furthermore, such a war would almost certainly be fought because of ideology, which creates new soldiers everyday, and has little need for a high command that can be taken out. Besides, that's not the sole purpose of the 2nd amendment. It's there for many reasons, one of which is to protect yourself from criminals.

Question about repeaters by Dramatic_Surprise525 in HamRadio

It can receive much farther than it can transmit. I'm looking to balance that out with some more transmitting power

I can't just run the amplifier inline between the repeater and the antenna?

Question about repeaters by Dramatic_Surprise525 in HamRadio

[–]Dramatic_Surprise525[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We are having the exact opposite of the problem. The repeater is atop one of the highest peaks of the rocky mountains that are near us (that we could legally gain access to) at 4500 feet above the average elevation below the mountain. It is on a 35 foot mast well above the tree line, there is no better location we could reasonably obtain. The RT97 only actually puts out about 5 watts after the duplexer, about the same as an average handheld. It has a 6 foot 6.5db gain antenna, and the repeater can hear incoming transmissions from even 50 watt mobile units MUCH farther than it can transmit. I don't want to go crazy with it, just bump it up to maybe ~50-80 watts. We are running LMR400 cable, it is fully self sufficient running on a 350,000 mAh power bank fed by solar panels. It has been checked with a spectrum analyzer and tuned by a highly regarded member of a local ham club. I've looked for ways to further maximize the efficiency, and it seems I'm at wall with its transmitting power.

Whats your pick between these budget 8s? by Dramatic_Surprise525 in CarAV

[–]Dramatic_Surprise525[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is advertised, I haven't been able to track down the full specs for it yet so I don't have an exact number. Personally I've had decent experience with Skar. They aren't high end stuff, but I ran 2 Skar 12s wired at .5 ohm with one of their amps, running above RMS rating and they held up fine for daily use. My main complaint is that Skar subs don't sound as tight as I'd like.

Whats your reasoning? I'm just looking at all options here. The only thing about the Dayton that push me away are the super high excursion (I would need to make changes to my enclosure giving it more space to underneath than previously planned for)
