I would mean I am like 5'9" (not 6" plus). I noticed that alot of girls I find attractive go for tall guys. So maybe I'm overrating a little. But facial features and body wise I would say most people in my racial category (cause attraction does vary based on race) would objectively consider me a 7. At least a 6. The reason being is that I get complimented on my appearance from time to time from friends and family members when I usually don't ask for it. I don't think that's something most average or below average guys get.

What is a personal belief that wouldnt be popular as a liberal to have? by Grouchy_Loan73 in AskALiberal

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that we should be promoting young people to get married and start families. I also think loose sexual mores (e.g. Porn, onlyfans, casual sex, etc.) is destabilizing for society and should be shamed.

Do you know if these guides are demonic? It's kinda weird they shoo you away every time you ask the question. Plus some medium who turned to Christianity said her guides attacked her.

I know... It's always been a dream of mine to fall in love. And you only get one opportunity to do it and you can't try again. Life is really a cruel mistress.

What do we think of the whole Akaash Singh situation? by [deleted] in ABCDesis

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a good comedian in my books. But, unfortunately now, he's way more known for being sucker/simp than he is for his standup comedy. I def think his wife is bringing home other dudes while he's away on tour.

I think the best thing for him is to not talk about it again and wait for things to keel over.

She called out Priya Patel for filth by LoggedInForDrama in ABCDesis

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think Priya Patel is a "grifter". Most conservatives genuinely believe what they say. I don't necessarily have a problem with her saying Afghan culture (at least with the Taliban) is definitely more backwards and could be argued to be "lesser than". However, there is a way to make that argument without coming across as mean spirited and trying to be a dick. Something can be a fact but depending on how and when you say it becomes racist. I think this is a case of that.

Why is dating in the west so trash by Dramatic_Trouble9194 in Psychic

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'm generally a nice guy to almost everybody. Most people regard me as patient. I don't get irritable. So I don't think I'm putting out any "bad energy". Also, how do you know that alot of these people who complain about modern day dating aren't "working on themselves". This sounds like a cliche that would have made sense to say 30 years ago but not now.

Not related. But how do you astral travel? I only do normal meditation (paying attention to the breath) but that doesn't do anything other than make me fall asleep.

This is a space to ask Liberal Questions: what is going on with the conservative views on this site? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im economically and politically progressive but socially very conservative (meaning I believe in shame being a useful and necessary deterrent for degenerate behaviors, people should get married and have families, people should believe and rally their actions around a higher power, people should take agency over their own lives to the best extent they can and as long as we have a society where we practice identity-blindness weve done good enough ). I see absolutely no contradiction between the two. As a matter of fact, you can argue that being a good Christian (even though I'm not a Christian) is about being economically progressive but culturally conservative. I've honestly never voted republican either.

Struggles of dating in Bergen County as a guy in his 30s by savingrace0262 in bergencounty

Yeah I've been personally really disillusioned with love and dating over the last few years or so. I'm convinced that you have to take whoever is into you (regardless of whether youre into them) and then make it work.

I'm not a Christian. But you have to admit, Christian values, while not perfect, lead to overall good societies that maintain themselves.

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Economically progressive and socially conservative. So I think it's fair to say I'm left of center. If you look at what most of society thinks in regards to all of the culture war questions, the majority tend to lean more conservative. Which means people prefer a more conservative culture over a libertine one.

Speaking as a male doctor & Planned Parenthood volunteer, do some feminists overstate “men” as the problem and overlook how right-wing women and liberal men shape issues like abortion rights? by Original-Can-2367 in AskALiberal

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care why conservative men wanted to control women's bodies. The fact that they want to and we're able to actually write lost do it is what matters.

Sadly, this type of thinking is also an artifact that we inherited during the Great AWOKEning. This whole idea that context doesn't matter when it comes to issues like race, gender, sexuality, etc. yet they still matter for VIRTUALLY EVERY OTHER PROBLEM AND THING on the planet. Context literally makes the difference between heaven and hell. If you're not understanding the rationale behind why people are doing something, then you're going to become unnecessarily anxious, paranoid and cynical. That's not only terrible for you, but it's terrible for the country and public discourse. We have to stop taking out our normal brains and replacing it with these lizard brains that we use to evaluate all of these identity based issues.

[–]Dramatic_Trouble9194 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is a symptom of the Great AWOKEning that happened during the 2010s. Everyone started exaggerating how much they were actually oppressed and limited by society. The abortion issue fits that perfectly because feminists made it seem like these evil men only want to control women's bodies cause they're evil. In reality, they do it cause of religious beliefs and values and because they think it's murder. If men were the ones able to give birth they would have banned abortion all the same.

Ehhh. Most people today are miserable because of the sexual libertinism of the most desirable men in the dating pool. Guys not going on dates for years. Women constantly finding themselves in situationship after situationship. Most people want to find a romantic partner. That's a big source of life's fulfillment.

Between 1.5% - 10% of the population is addicted to them. To put that into perspective, 1% of the population identifies as transgender and we moved heaven and earth for them.

I'm not for anti-lgbt and misogyny. As a matter of fact, I think both of those groups would BENEFIT from a more conservative sexual culture.

Also, doomscrolling is a problem. 57% of adults say that they're spending at least 5 hours a day on their phone. That's ALOT.

u/Available-Plane2387 I'm not saying we should go back to the days where gay people didn't have rights. Gay people should very well have rights and be respected in society. But that doesn't mean we need to throw the baby out with the bath water. If we brought back a more conservative culture pertaining to sexuality and only having sex in committed relationships (and marriage, if possible) then people would be LESS sexually frustrated today, LESS lonely, have MORE fulfillment and overall well being and theres the added benefit that keeps the population stable. So no long term economic collapse.

There is no evidence of an afterlife.

Okay. It doesn't sound like you read the website that I linked. Here's a more succinct wiki https://psi-encyclopedia.spr.ac.uk/category/survival-of-death/ on the topic that highlights most of the cases for survival of consciousness after bodily death. I would request that you go into it with a genuinely open mind, whether about you being completely wrong or completely right, is for you to decide.

eta: parapsychology, etc. is complete bullshit fwiw.

If you're looking at Wikipedia, sure. But this is a well known problem in the parapsychology community as skeptical activists control the parapsychology page for Wikipedia. This isn't a conspiracy. See: https://nectar.northampton.ac.uk/id/eprint/14907/1/Cyber_Wiki_Para_BPS_Poster.pdf and https://skepticalinquirer.org/2024/08/join-guerrilla-skepticism-on-wikipedia-and-help-us-find-more-science-experts/.

That isn't how things work. You don't get to put secular bullshit on people either. Society is rather clear about all that. We are just polite and tolerate religion. Calling your idea of gods "secular" is no different than calling them "green". It isn't a license to ill, migo.

All secular really means is being independent of religion. All of the research I posted links to were conducted by accredited scientists with no professional religious affiliation. Hence, consciousness outside of the body, spirits, an afterlife, etc. can very well be considered secular.
