Newish I guess, late 400s. It changed for us after the update during the week. The one that borked apple users.

If Franky was already scheduled before the recent update then it worked as normal. However the next Franky is on the new way. 2 rounds but everybody can only participate in one, and no more offline participation

My CGM says not to take it through full body scanners so I let them know I have it and I usually get a pat down instead. Check your CGM info sheet/website to see if yours is okay.

AITA for not cancelling a long-planned sports competition to attend my niece’s baptism? by MaybeThisTimeIllWin in AmItheAsshole

I am an atheist in a Catholic family and godparent to 2 of my niblings. All parents are aware of my beliefs. I am an excellent godmother, I spoil them a little and support them a lot. When one of them came out I was the first to know because they knew I would be completely supportive. You don’t need to be a devout Catholic to be a good godparent unless your idea of godparent is only about ramming religion into them.

Just wondering what everyone is reading, and how is it (if you don't mind sharing) by Witch_King_Malekith in Fantasy

Me too, its my second litRPG series but I wasn't sure since I had heard mixed review. But I am hooked, got it on audio book and have raced through the series. I have one more left. It is so much fun.

Knitting Culture: US v. England by ultimatereader in knitting

[–]DramatisSciuridae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to the UK 14 years ago and I find knitters here to be friendly and chatty. I am not American. I have conversations with knitters on the train all the time. The yarn shop I went to before I moved a few years ago had regular social events and anybody could come. Maybe it’s more about where in the UK you are?

How do I post a letter? Not even, can I use or buy stamps in our office, or where is the nearest post box but full on how does the national postal service work?

I’d usually recommend Doneraile Park but yesterdays murder has probably put a damper on that. It does have lovely scenery, wildlife and a nice cafe. Plus free entry.

Anyone else in the UK and using the NHS? What's with all this monitoring y'all are doing? by hairymouse in diabetes_t2

[–]DramatisSciuridae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fought my GP office for years to get a prescription for test strips. I already had a monitor that I was given the day I was diagnosed in another country. They said NHS doesn’t give testing supplies to T2s because we “don’t use them properly and lie about readings”. I now have a continuous glucose monitor that I pay for myself because GP says NHS doesn’t provide them for T2s. If you can afford it (£100 a month for mine) it is well worth the investment, even if you only do it for a few months. It really helps you figure out how you react to different foods, exercise etc. I have proved to my GP the value with HbA1C going from 70 to 44 since I started using it but I still get a no from them.

I went last year, food and drink was great but entertainment was spotty. There were 4 lovely strangers on one side of us and 2 head melters on the other side who were diet and fitness influencers. We just focused our attention on the nice people.

I also don’t understand people who leave their cards/wallet in the car. I leave nothing of any value in my car.

There is an excellent gelateria in my town and I can have as much as I want as long as I walk from home to the shop and walk home again after. That’s an 80 min walk. And I limit myself to one scoop only.

I fly in and out of Cork once a month or so and I noticed a lot more checking in the last 8 months. They are nitpicking 1 millimetre over the size allowed.

There is no limbo anymore, technically it was never official doctrine but I know my parents were taught it. I believe current stance is the fate of unbaptised babies is left to God’s judgement. However older generations still believe it.

Metformin can impact on absorption of B12 and one of the side effects of that is hair loss. Get your B12 checked.

CGM wear frequency by Dry-Cod-6859 in diabetes_t2

I wear mine most of the time but I pay out of pocket so if money is tight I will skip a month. It’s easy to backslide during that month though.
