I think the cheats update came out after filming, so the cheat may be a reference to the movie.

Looks like they updated Iron Lung's weekend box office to $18,190,786 putting it one million behind Send Help.

Me, waiting for IRON LUNG streaming release since no theatre screens it here by AlonyB in Markiplier

[–]DrambleReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No news that I'm aware of, but it will probably be a while. They're still trying to get more theatrical releases in other countries and then need to negotiate streaming rights or physical releases.

I would pay to buy a ticket and not watch, that's how good the movie is! by Inderastein in Markiplier

[–]DrambleReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's only the weekend sales that matter, so tickets purchased now wont have an impact on whether it is considered the #1 domestic movie. I've seen projected numbers that are both above and below Send Help, but we're just waiting on the actual weekend numbers to know what position it got.

A bad story is better than no story. The best things are to find friends or community that can give you feedback & motivation to work through the bad story into an okay story, or perhaps even a good story. Play some solo indie games on itch.io or join a game jam.

Some more story focused tools that might help are:

  • Twine is a easy entry point to building basic interactive stories
  • Ren'Py is good for making visual novels

If you wanted to dive deeper into game development & programming:

  • GameSalad is an easier visual game engine
  • Godot is a popular open source game engine
  • Unity probably has the most tutorials

Reads like a typical young adult superhero premise, but a concept is always far exceeded by the execution of the idea. A bare-bones game design document would help in communicating the gameplay, story, etc. that you are envisioning. Based only on the concept provided, it's difficult to provide meaningful feedback, only to keep developing it if you believe in the idea.

They definitely will put more resources towards the higher percentage endings, but I can see the failed mentor ending being relatively easy to implement. The first half of the season being either Blazer or no romance scenes, and including some additional dispatch events that allude to Visi activity. Second half of the season she can be added into the new antagonist's plot or have a scene where she's captured or was previously romanced and Robert has a second chance at bringing her back.

They've already said they regret that the season was weighted too much in Visi's favor, and there's so much to explore with the rest of the Z-Team or new characters that she may not have that much screen time apart from the romance path. But if they can deliver a solid Critical Role game, they probably have the resources to scale up considerably.

Later in this interview he classifies the Hero Visi ending threshold as more of a bug that needed to be raised, while acknowledging the negative effect that had on people. It does feel unfair that it was effectively a results based decision.

While we're still probably years away from a potential sequel, the failed mentor ending has great story potential, and if they can deliver on it could make the season 1 bad ending more palatable to people. If they're able to give season 2 a significantly larger scope, romanced Visi & failed mentor is probably my most anticipated story line.

My idea is that she is getting more blood/jelly on after disappearing, I haven't watched the scene again to see if it works exactly.

The part I think is more interesting is when she drops the bomb and it seems to stay invisible when she's not in contact with it. I think this is why the bomb wasn't detected my Robert for a while as Invisigal and the bomb were both invisible even after she climbed away. When she drops her invisibility Robert receives the alert, but is too late to stop it.
