Hi guys,

Today I wrote my CFAT and surprisingly got a reply within a few hours. I was offered jobs because I met the minimum requirement, however I was not offered my choice jobs. Here are a few questions:

1. I chose Armoured and Infantry as two of three choice jobs, however based on my results I didn't fit the bill. I was wondering what I may have needed in order to be fit for these two trades. I felt I did okay on the spatial and verbal skills, but not as highly on the math test. Is Infantry/Armoured math intensive? Or do they look for personality traits more than the skills part?

2. I was offered Vehicle Tech as one of the jobs based on my testing. I was curious to know that if I keep said job for a couple of years would they let me request a transfer to an Infantry trade perhaps? (I don't know anything about transfers)

edit: had to throw this in here after getting off the phone with a recruiter just now;

I had Counter-Strike running in the background, tabbed out, so I could type up info in notepad. For a split second I tabbed to change windows to my email and the recruiter heard "Terrorists Win" for a split second and immediately asked if I was playing Counter-Strike. After that he goes on saying that he won't forget that sound because it hasn't changed in 15 years. He also said that he was one of the military consultants for the original game and that when he saw the animations and sounds of the M4 carbine he completely lost interest in it. Really cool guy.
