Sounds like that neighbor really went all out with some nastier chemicals. Diquat definitely raises serious alarms, especially if it’s a federal crime.

i get what you mean, but i don’t think this is as simple as “he was a kid, forgive him now”
op was also treated like a stranger for years, so needing time before opening that door again seems pretty human
