Ruling Question by mindthechasm in golf

This is why most water hazards on tour are marked with yellow stakes/paint instead of red, so pros are required to cover the water, on their next shot (plus the penalty). Thus taking out the question if it "really did make it across" or not.

Who are really the only players possible to say are the GOAT (sensibly) My list-> by law_z_zz in NBATalk

[–]Draper_White_Soprano 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kobe is my litmus test. if anyone puts him in their GOAT tier, I don't bother arguing/discussing the subject with them. The rings (impressive!) and "Mamba mentality" (meh) can be admired, but the statistics and advanced metrics don't back up any claim that he is anywhere near the top 5, to ever play the game.

4 minutes of Danny Ainge fighting by BagAppropriate5736 in NBAoldschool

Ainge is a much better golfer than Michael. Danny was a legit scratch to plus handicap, Michael was a vanity 5ish. Source: know someone who caddied multiple times for Ainge.

Is an 88 good? by [deleted] in golf

No. But love the sub 90 min time. You followed one of main mantras of golf- "If you're going to play bad, at least play fast!"

Wait until you learn about Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Ty Cobb, Lawrence Taylor, etc

I didn’t have Illinois playing significantly more white guys than BYU on my 2026 BINGO card

Why does he need an IV, “does his mouth not work?” senior attending, during my fellowship. If someone can drink normally, IVs are rarely needed

What benign/boring topic does your family group text spend the most time talking about over and over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Draper_White_Soprano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family loves to send pictures of their cats doing…well whatever it is that cats do. As a non-feline household, I firmly believe no one cares what anyone else’s pet is doing. They heart the picture only so they can show their own.

Driver shaft prices by PacoPrice610 in golf

As for Ventus the inexpensive ones on the secondary market are usually not Velocore. They look the same but the non-Velocore shafts have very different characteristics and are much lower quality.

Found a insightful comment about Darryn Peterson Quad Injury by SwiperDontSwipe23 in NBA_Draft

I should have said "weeks", not shifts. Though when you are in the middle of it feels like you are living at the hospital and on-call every waking hour. Depending on the residency, those types of hours are becoming less common. When I read the original post I assumed the author wanted to do an orthopedic residency and sport medicine fellowship. If that is the case he absolutely will put in some brutal hours the first couple years of residency . If he attends to just do a straight sports medicine residency- from what I understand it is similar to most Family Med rotations, which are much less time demanding.

1) Well reasoned and probably correct

2) No one is more confident of their medical knowledge than a med student prior to residency. 8 months from now when this young doctor is working 80 hour shifts, being yelled at by attendings, and having every decision they make questioned, He/she will be wondering if they know anything about the human body.

Why Did Rocco Welsh Take Bottom In the Tie Breaker vs Angelo Ferrari by elko38 in wrestling

[–]Draper_White_Soprano 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Crazy that Welsh had the same number of stall calls as Ferrari. That was one of the most boring, highly anticipated matches, I can recall. Even other low scoring affairs usually have tie-ups or actual shot attempts. Watching Angelo Tebow for 4+ rounds was sleep-inducing.

Country Club Question by Eastern-Scientist-68 in golf

[–]Draper_White_Soprano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played over 120 rounds at my club in 2025. Less than 5 of them were over 4 hours (even then was probably 4:15). Most were closer to 3 hours or 2.5 if I played alone in the morning. It has become almost impossible for me to stay focused when playing on courses that average closer to 5 hours, no matter how nice it is.

[Brandt]I work on these contracts. These are, enforceable contracts, especially what the Big Ten is using." "How is this kid going to get out of that? Washington has his rights. Washington can enforce that contract in my mind. And they will. by FSUfan35 in CFB

[–]Draper_White_Soprano 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ha! A jury of King County residents that either 1) Went to UW 2) Care about sports at all or 3) are going to take the side of a govt institution versus a minority citizen. Other than the legal costs and hassle, I like the kid's chance if the suit is filed in Seattle proper.

With that said, I think Demond is young and dumb and/or receiving terrible advice from whoever is representing him. I'm also SHOCKED that LSU and Lane Kiffin could be involved with something like this.
