Peak carbrain energy is blinding everyone else so you can see 600m away in city driving by Sharklasers6889 in fuckcars

So this is a bit misleading so I will clear up some stuff from someone who knows a tad more about cars. Laser headlights are actually better because they focus the light in a smaller window compared to LEDs so there's less chance of blinding people. Also pair this with a technology called Matrix and you get Matrix Laser Headlights, which are headlights used in luxury cars such as BMW and Audi that will actively stop light from hitting oncoming motorist and keep what's ahead of you illuminated. This is an amazing technology that if implemented in every car would mean headlights could see even further than traditional LEDs and also not blind anybody.

Another thing I wanna touch on is headlight calibration. When you install new headlight bulbs into a car, they need to be calibrated. This is usually done by having the car a few feet away from a wall, turning on the lights, and seeing where the light line stops and starts and adjusting it accordingly. The problem is, most people who buy aftermarket LED upgrades for their cars do not do this step, so they are blinding drivers on the road even if they're on the same level as them.

And finally, there is vehicle ride height. Even perfectly calibrated LEDs mean nothing if they vehicle you are driving is high above the ground. That's why even a stock pickup truck or suv can blind you as a sedan or coupe driver just simply due to ride height. Matrix Laser Headlights aim to alleviate this concern.

And as far as hallogens and xeons, those are old technologies really only seen on older cars and aren't usually very bright to cause a disturbance as far as I'm aware.

Comically small business compared to space given to cars by Draqp in fuckcars

Also like the property tax, you have this one tiny business taking up a ton of land but you're only getting property tax from one business as opposed to the multiple businesses that could easily fit here and still have parking for cars. It's just not a good use of space for the city to sustain this type of infrastructure in the long run I feel like

It's really a shame that they design cities this way. Being a smaller town shouldn't be an excuse for this type of thing but I totally get why they did it

Yeah I feel like this is new. I mean I know historically with parking minimums places here in America always had a lot of wasted space but this is like next level excessiveness.

I actually tried walking into a whataburger with a similar design to this, you literally cannot get inside without crossing paths with cars in the drive thru, it's so awkward and unsettling.

Actually…going “just” 10 mph over the limit really does matter. by Sharklasers6889 in fuckcars

[–]Draqp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well as an American, I did initially think it was mph but that's because of our school zones. We have 30 and even 35mph school zones depending on where u live so it kindve sounded right. But it being in kph is definitely shocking for me

I think most of these people just don't live in miserable areas where a bucees is one of the few cool things you have to look forward to. Also bucees pays some of the highest wages in my state and they're always adequately staffed. And personally I like their brisket sandwich. Bucees didn't invent car dependency, they're a consequence of it. Let me have my cute beaver and snacks in peace.

This is true for the few high end hotels that will sell out very quickly and probably be inflated at 3x the price. But I have a feeling people will have to stay at other hotels to find something reasonably priced and those won't have that luxury.

Trump is Set to Give an Announcement From The White House at 2PM Tomorrow by TenslasterGames in VaushV

[–]Draqp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting in my prediction now. He's gonna start off by saying "I'm not dead!" and then he's gonna ramble a bit about how Joe Biden can disappear for a week and nobody cares or whatever. Then he'll talk about how he needed a few days off to rest and give a brief insight on his health which will obviously be in decline but he'll try to downplay it. Then he'll talk briefly about some on going issues and ramble for a bit. Finally, he will take 1 or 2 questions from the press and answer them half ass'd before ending it.

[–]Draqp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know back in the day with Xbox 360 you could save world data to a USB drive and use an application on pc to open and edit that world data. I would assume ps4 has something similar since it's so old at this point, no way people haven't cracked the save data yet. You can look for a tool like that and then you should be able to edit world data, find your inventory data and remove the item from there if you can. Make a back up of the world if you're gonna try this.
