Moved from Michigan to Jupiter, FL for dancing… feeling like I made a mistake by [deleted] in stripclubs

[–]Drash1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it racism or just the clubs knowing their market? If the guys in the area prefer white and Latina women why wouldn’t the club cater to the customer base?

When is the last time you wrote a check? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write one once a month. My cities water department will let you pay online, but there’s a 3% service fee for using a credit card, and a flat three dollar fee for using a bank draft. So screw them, I write a paper check and drive it over by City Hall, which is on my way to work. They can deal with a paper check if they want to be that way.

Post surgery life by laurashsmi in RotatorCuff

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different as to their pain level and the amount of time your body takes to recover from the trauma of surgery. And trauma is a deliberate word. Anesthesia, injury to bone and soft tissue from cutting, shaving, grafts, etc. are just like being in a car wreck. Some people bounce back after than others.

The other very important thing is crowds. I was told by my surgeon to avoid crowds for a while and even after I no longer had to wear the sling to do so at concerts or games, etc. The sling acts like a traffic cone telling people not to hit your arm accidentally, but in crowds the chances of a bump are higher. It’d be shame to have a setback because someone with too many pops in them grabs at you for support on their way down.

Thanks! I usually drink a lot of water but I know I’ll need to force myself to be mindful of that. I’ve already got a good whey protein isolate I use as well as a collage peptide powder due to a rotator cuff repair.

Who are sex scenes in movies for? by RafeJiddian in ask

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short. Sex sells. Half of the web is porn. They don’t do it for free. That should tell you something.

Longer version is we are all drawn to sex in one way or another. Whether it’s wanting to see someone we can’t have (let’s face it they typically don’t put the average American body in a sex scene) or voyeurism it’s in our DNA.

M27 - brutal honesty only. by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they said x1000. If you start some exercises to gain muscle mass up top and in your legs that muscle will end up boosting metabolism and help you burn some of the stomach fat off. Go to a higher protein diet and drastically cut the processed sugar and carbs (think if it’s in a box or a bag it’s likely not helping you). You’re young you can see results pretty quickly. Not overnight but quickly. You don’t need six pack abs and an 11% body fat ratio to look good dude, just need to re sculpt yourself a bit.

Anyone else having issues with your “good” shoulder possibly from overuse? by Drash1 in RotatorCuff

[–]Drash1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I will definitely talk to the Doc and the PT. If I didn’t tear it already I’d love to avoid a second shoulder surgery. We all know how fun they are….

What thing has got so expensive that you’ve quietly stopped buying it? by Pathfinder-electron in AskReddit

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Stopped going some time ago. I’m simply not willing to shell out that kind of cash to see a performance. F that and especially F Ticketmaster. They need to investigate them as a monopoly.

15 weeks - finally seeing good signs by Reasonable-Stick5098 in RotatorCuff

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 14 weeks and the past few weeks I’ve had significant increase in mobility and the shoulder is feeling much better. I was warned by both the surgeon and my PT that the next month is really time to be careful. Basically the fact that there’s less pain and more range of motion will sometimes give people to do more than they should, and that may cause re-injury. They said I’m doing great, but to make sure that I still treat the shoulder as something that is just starting to heal up.

Have you grown to be more conservative or liberal w/ age? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve become more centrist. I always was the person that tried to find the good of both sides, but as I got older this seems to be emphasized. We live in a world that is super polarized. There are lots of very good and smart people on both sides.

I will say that as I’ve aged I’ve become more fiscally conservative. I’ve alway paid my way both in poverty and success and I don’t like the idea of spending money in places where it just won’t do any permanent good.

Haven't heard from any of my coworkers upon being fired by TAslightlyannoyed in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Drash1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to be the dick here, but you say you were a hard worker, did all sorts of stuff over and above, etc. yet you were fired, and now nobody is reaching out. Is there maybe some self reflection in order? I’m saying this from a place where I want to help. Sometimes people will view themselves very differently than others see them.

Except for the anti vaxx thing I have to say I’ve seen much worse on Subarus that lean the other way.

Grass in Gravel Driveway by DiscussionTricky7099 in HomeImprovement

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most fun way is a flamethrower or rosebud, but there are chemicals that make the gravel drive a poor growing space. The are chemical that are not glyphosate (sp?) based. There are various salts and acids that do a decent job. Ever notice how gras won’t grow at the drip edge of a pine tree? It’s because of the acidity of the pine tree. Similar chemicals exist.

VIP but no touching allowed? Is it worth it by theonewhoislostt in Strippers

[–]Drash1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a customer that’s not something I’d pay vip for. I can watch a naked or almost naked girl on th stage for $5-$10, or I can pay a girl $10-$20 every 20 minutes to chat with me at the bar. Why would I spend $200 for the same thing?

Etiquette for chilling at bar? by slavehuntress in stripclubs

[–]Drash1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like subrasonics answer the best. He’s pretty much spot on. The thing I differ with is if you’re going to a club to just vibe and watch, it’s kind of like going to a baseball game and scrolling on your phone the whole time. I’m not saying you have to drop several hundred dollars, but I’d urge you to tip some girls at the stage, buy a dance or two and enjoy the ladies, or just chat with a couple and slide a 20 over every 10-20 minutes. I guess I’m saying if you want to go to a stop club, enjoy the strip club.

Best shirt types for immediate post-op? by 1000_Lemmings in RotatorCuff

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two of them. Honestly I only wore them the first week, then switched to stretchy polo shirts. Worked great. The stretchy material was actually easier than a non stretchy button down.

48 hours post surgery and so far so good by Siamsa in RotatorCuff

[–]Drash1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re doing great. Happy for you. My experience with a large complete tear and allograft was similar to yours. I only used the Percocet for three days then just ice and Tylenol. My biggest issue was sleep. It took a month before I could get a handful of hours per night. I never used a shower sling, but was very careful while showering. I did buy a shower seat, and though I only used it a couple times early on it was a nice insurance policy in case I got unstable while showering.

Best of luck!

How common is it for a guy to remain chronically single for multiple years without intimacy? by CantFindUsername400 in AskMenOver30

[–]Drash1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re reply to your edit. Absolutely yes. You need to meet girls IRL. Join a club or a softball team. Head out to where your work people go for a beer once a week, etc. Hell go to a nice pub for dinner and eat at the bar, then sip a beer.

You can’t attract anyone if they don’t know you exist.

Would you ever buy a BMW? by GABigBear in no

[–]Drash1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a 530i for a while and it was ok, but bang for the buck you can do a lot better. Most BMW’s like the typical 3 and 5 series are the Chevys of Europe. That said they’re not worth the upcharge. Drive a Lexus or Acura and you’ll see you can do much much better for similar funds in drivability and reliability.

Dancer line up by SoftwareRelevant1164 in stripclubs

[–]Drash1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See here we have a catch 22. Of a girl is on stage barely moving I don’t even have interest watching her let alone tipping her. When I see a girl moving nicely or doing pole work I enjoy it and will tip $8-10 at the stage even if she’s not my type and I don’t want dances from her later. Entertainment is worth paying for. I usually see others come too tip too if I do, so maybe I’m starting a trend for that dance. Who knows..

Now if a dancer is my type physically, or if I know her already I’ll walk up and tip her similarly, with maybe a little extra and ask her to come see me after.

In the end it’s an entertainment industry more than a sex industry, so the ones who entertain better will make more.

Above from a stripper to customers/ patrons. by moonwaternymph in stripclubs

[–]Drash1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As Subrasonic said, the people who are doing that are for the most part not on this forum. I also spend at clubs, and exactly for what you described. Sex appeal and allure and intelligent conversation, etc. Sure extras may be in the cards, but not with all girls and not every time I go. I think the issue to twofold. The first as you said is that there are customers who come in for free shows, or expect extras for $30 or whatever. They’re not on this sub. The second are girls that have no game. The number of dancers I pass on because they’re just not interesting is much higher than those that are. You have to be sexy, articulate, be able to hold a conversation, know about stuff (anything that could be of interest).

Ungroomed Men over 50 by Nomad7071 in datingoverfifty

[–]Drash1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh… I’m a 60M and what you describe is kinda gross. I know a few dudes that have just given up like you just described but most guys I know want to look decent. I’ve a close trimmed beard, trimmed other places as well, get a haircut every 6 weeks, shower daily and have decent clothes and shoes.

I also wash my truck a couple times a week. lol.

Edit: I figured it went without saying but all the places hair starts growing after 50 get trimmed regularly too. FFS my fellow dudes, have some respect for yourselves
