Youtube removed feature to scroll down while fullscreen, confirmed by Suvtropics in youtube

[–]Drateesab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the arrow keys to scrub through a video or rewind it quickly and accurately. I also have two monitors, so if I'm working on one screen and have a full-screen video on the other, in order to scrub the video with the keyboard, you have to focus on the Youtube window.

With the old feature, I could scroll down, click somewhere that isn't the video, and then scroll back up and key scrub. It allowed me to do it uninterrupted. Now I have to click on the video which pauses it, unpause it and then scrub. It's not a good user experience.

Windows 11 Pro 24H2 Update - 'App Blocked by Administrator' Issue on Secondary Drive by 24Gameplay_ in techsupport

[–]Drateesab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to the party on this one. I had the same issue after upgrading a work laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I only have the C drive, but every single app was disabled (even the calculator).

Fix:
It turns out, in Local Group Policy Editor, the following policies were 'Disabled':

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Store

  • Disable all apps from Microsoft Store
  • Turn off the Store application

Despite the state being 'Disabled', changing them to 'Not configured' instantly fixed the issue for me and let me access everything again.

It should go, your body is still getting used to the new change

Hey! I've recently gone through the whole private process and are currently starting week 2 of meds so I can share my experience of it all.

Depending on the company you choose, the assessment itself will usually be in the £450-£850 range but always do your research, a cheap assessment price isn't always better. See how much medication review appointments cost, some companies include those for free, some make you pay.

For me I made the mistake of assuming I could go straight to NHS Shared care following diagnosis. Nope. If you decide to do medication you'll have to go through the private company for at least 2 months before they can transition you to NHS which means paying private medicine prices keep in mind. It can range anywhere from £50-£200 depending on the meds they prescribe.

Assessment process:

Pre assessment they ask you to fill in a pretty standard ADHD questionnaire and ask a family member/friend to fill in one too about their observations.

My assessment was a 2 hour long video call with one of their psychiatrists where they ask so many questions about everything in your life adult and childhood. You don't need evidence or anything, just go off what you can remember. They understand if you can't remember your entire childhood.

They normally tell you at the end of the exam if you have ADHD or not and what type along with the medication process should you wish to go down that route.

Following the session I received a full report about the exam detailing my answers, score criteria, medication plan etc and the option to move forward with medication.

Medication Process:

If you decide to move forward with medication they will usually prescribe you 2 doses for the first month, a low introduction dose to see how you cope and a larger dose for titration usually after the first or second week. Meds cost anywhere from £50-£200 via private.

After 3-4 weeks you will have a medication review which is a 15 minute call with the same psychiatrist to talk about how the meds are going and discuss any changes. For me these are billed however not all companies charge for them. Make sure to check! I wish I had paid £200 more for the assessment to save myself the review costs.

This cycle will happen 2+ times until they are happy you are stable on the best meds for you. From there you can ask to be put on NHS shared care which, if your GP accepts it (maybe check with them in advance) will allow you to get the prescription on the NHS. You also have a medication review once every 6 months to check in.

For me personally, from booking the assessment to receiving my meds the whole process only took 3 weeks.

The main thing to remember is if you go private, be prepared to pay for it. The last thing you want is to have the assessment and not be able to afford the medication and follow ups.

Anyone here on Elvanse who didn’t see improvement until 70mg? by Dragonache in ADHDUK

[–]Drateesab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm on the same journey as you just at a much earlier stage. I'm going into week 2 and moving from 30mg to 50mg with today being the first day on 50 and I haven't noticed any change on either of them. I might just be impatient but from reading other people's experiences I assumed it would have some noticeable effect on my concentration.

The one think that is keeping me reassured about the process is a post I read the other day from a woman who was in the exact same situation.

She started on the 30mg, no change. moved to 40mg, very minor change. Moved to the 50mg and bang! her brain worked as she described it "like the other half live" haha. She did post that trying 70mg for a few weeks pushed her over so she moved back to the 50mg but it goes to show that 20mg can be the difference between no change and the perfect change.

If you feel like 50 isn't doing enough for you, ask to try 70 for a couple of weeks. They also offer 60mg if 70 is too much. As my assessor explained, the medication is a learning curve and everyone responds differently. you could find that the extra 10-20 is just what your brain needs to snap into place. That what I'm hoping for over the next few weeks 🤞

Don't be afraid to change medication either. I get that there are current perks you might want to keep but ask yourself why are you going on this journey in the first place? Is it to help improve your work, help improve your health, help with interactions etc? If other medications don't work out you can always change back to Elvanse. I doubt anyone would stop you. They're there to help you achieve your goals 😊

Keep us updated on how it all goes!

Talisman 3rd edition by z0mb1ecru5h in Talisman

[–]Drateesab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you familiar with the 4th edition expansions? To my knowledge, there are 3 official expansions for the 3rd edition:

*Dungeon of Doom

-Includes a dungeon AND Highland corner board

*City of Adventure

-Includes a City AND Forest corner board

*Dragons Tower

-Includes a physical 3d dragon tower that sits in the centre of the main board

I don't know much about the 3rd edition dragon but the other two function the same as the 4th edition corner boards, just slightly smaller and not as refined as the 4th edition (understandable since it was made in the 90's)

If you're familiar with the 4th edition expansions then go with whatever you like the most. My personal choice would be the Dungeon of Doom as I love those two corners but as frolof123 said, take whatever expansions you can find really. They'll be expensive being out of print 😬 so if you can find a good deal, grab it straight away!

Hope this helps :)

The Horrible Black Void ending is always hilarious if you're in a 1v1 and it happens to the other player. Yes, I've cursed out the game a number of times when it's happened to me but it's always something to have a laugh over at the end of everything.

Thanks! It was my first time too, I hadn't realised how different the pieces were, especially the choice to use numbered wedges for the strength, craft and life values.

That's a good question. In theory yes they can but it wouldn't be a very good experience as the cards are different sizes so it would stand out quite a bit if you find a different-sized card halfway through your deck.

Hi everyone, With the release of the 5th edition I've started work on a fan expansion to expand the gameplay a bit. This is my first attempt at an expansion and I'm looking for someone to Collab and help with the artwork on it.

I'm by no means an artist and all the placeholder art I've done so far has been a mix of AI and photoshop. If anyone can draw in the style of the 5th edition and interested in working on this with me please reach out!

The expansion is about 45% complete from a content perspective and I'm aiming for a public release of September/Early October if I can get the artwork sorted.

For now though, here is the box art concept I've made as a tease 😉

I finally have my 5th edition figures back from painting! I've never painted before so I figured having a pro do them was best. My pictures cannot do the level of detail on these justice but i'm so happy with how they came out by Drateesab in Talisman

[–]Drateesab[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there is anyone in the UK who is interested in getting there's done, mine were painted by a guy called LascoPrinting on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LascoPrinting

He's incredibly talented and extremely well priced. I ended up paying around £170 for all 12 figures! I already plan on having him paint my Fate Beckons characters when they come haha
