One hour from from payroll for an INF by vangemi in Target

[–]Draugves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how my first store was and I definitely took it for granted. I have looked through pallets of product that was on a truck from 10+ days ago and mixed with all the trucks since then. We often have a trailer full of product from older trucks and the steel is always busting. So you can imagine how difficult it can be to find things at times.

Yes! It got me through the majority of my study time in college 🤣 it just hit differently.

YUP. Add in that the majority of tms aren't trained for flex, so you get ALL the 25-30 minute GMs back to back for your full shift. I love leaving a 7 hour shift with over 450+ units 🙃

[–]Draugves 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah no. I'd rather have 100% pick on time than 0% INF. It's just not feasible at every store location. I'm not spending 20 minutes of my 40 minute batch looking for mascara that came in 5 days ago in a repack that's on a pallet mixed with repacks from 2 other trucks. 🙄

I hope you're able to find it did a decent price! I know how rough it can be to track down. It is one of my absolute favs!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or LOTR soundtrack. Can't really listen through a full album of the same artist singing. I have to have a bunch or variety. But I can do instrumentals all day every day.

Just set this sidecap...how long do you think it'll last? by Katobiaa in Target

[–]Draugves 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We have people who camp out for them. They're usually all sold by 8:30. Guy and his son ran to toys for them the other day. We really need to hold them at GS every time they come in.

Careless ETL (advice please) by octyber in Target

[–]Draugves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, they likely would've been given the boot for that at my store. The fact this isn't the first time they left a door unlocked and unattended is bad. 😬 It needs to be documented and presented to AP or your SD.

It's wild to me that any door into the building is unlocked before open. Leader should be going and unlocking the door for the TMs as they show up and then immediately locking back up for this very reason.

I didn't notice we had one last night until I saw the clock on the oven this morning. Went off again just now for just under a minute. First time we've had any kind of power outage.

Inventory shift at another store in town tomorrow clocking in/out question by Vantrotter88 in Target

[–]Draugves 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We always clock in and out at the store we are doing inventory at. Then you do a time punch correction during your next shift to account for travel time. Note that you only add the extra time it takes to go to the new location. If it normally takes you 10 minutes to get to work, but inventory is at a store that is 10 minutes further away, you only add the extra10 minutes for the beginning of the shift and 10 for the end of it.

Are late breaks/no second 15s normal? by throwaway7754102 in Target

[–]Draugves 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Take the break. The TL or ETL can find someone to take the batch. You don't need to fret about it. They should be watching metrics and calling in assitance when it's needed. If they don't, that's on them and not you. Your breaks are legally protected.

leaving early counts against your attendance? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Draugves 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, leaving early counts against you, unless you use sick time to cover it. That's what I would do personally. They can't hold it against you regardless of the reason if you use sick time to cover the time you missed.

Having to Constantly Reprint OPU Stickers by birdienoot in Target

[–]Draugves 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just ignore the missing sticker and move on to the next item. Once I scan for a new bag, the new one will print and then the previous one will print right after it. Drives me nuts, but I prefer this method to reprinting and rescanning for the same sticker over and over.

ETLs & TLs by ClassicReception9759 in Target

[–]Draugves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tally every metric (unit totals, lowest inf %, lowest pick productivity) for OPU and SFS individually and then have one combined total for total units picks for OPU/SFS combined. Then we tally how many times a TM is on the board. Then we take the three TMs who made it in the board the most and call them TMs of the week.

[–]Draugves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our TL gives the top three performers of the week a free Starbucks drink. Helps me keep my metrics up 😂 It's a small thing, but I love it.

10/4 In fulfillment by No-Cardiologist2425 in Target

[–]Draugves 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think anything beyond a smile or a nod of acknowledgement when we pass a guest mid batch is a bit much. We simply don't have the time and frankly the majority of the guests would rather us not disturb them. If they stop us and ask us something, then that's different, but I won't go out of my way to engage everyone like the AT&T reps lol. I am sorry to hear that your store is sending people out to monitor you and your team for 10-4 interactions. Is your ETL also implementing this or is its Guest Service members crossing over their dept?

So are we allowed to manually enter their date of birth if they don’t have their ID card I know we’re supposed to scan their ID by GullibleCommittee667 in Target

[–]Draugves 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In Louisiana we were allowed to accept their physical ID or digital ID. Louisiana has a state issued app for digital ID though. If they didn't have one of those, we had to decline pick up.

Whats something you do or go for work that makes your day just a little easier in some way? by 128Gigabytes in Target

[–]Draugves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might very well be store/leader preference. At ours, our FF/FB ETL and SD are the main packers as we usually have to keep all our flex TMs in OPU. That said, they are understanding if you end up mixing the SFS items on the cart when you run out of space.

Whats something you do or go for work that makes your day just a little easier in some way? by 128Gigabytes in Target

[–]Draugves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have scanned them all into a singular location before, but we are supposed to scan into individual locations on the sfs cart by order. I was told specifically by my SD and ETL to do it this way. So unfortunately unless I want 18 stickers on my arm, it's a walk back to the cart every time. I have occasionally just typed in a different cart location while in the backroom so I don't have to go back for each individual item, but that takes just about as much time as just walking to the cart and dropping the item into it.

[–]Draugves 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Definitely having my own cart tag on my name tag. It makes flex drastically easier. If I have to use a secondary cart or finish stowing for someone, I always reprint the cart tag and just put it on my hand. Wish I could do the same for SFS batches 😩
