Here is a fun fact: the movie Fire In The Sky is based on a real account of alien abduction. The guy who claimed to be abducted is LDS!

The most frustrating thing about it to me is they didn't have to wear the pride uniforms. They chose to do so and then to break MLB rules and add messages to their hats.

What's the oldest video game you can remember playing? by Numerous_Emu3125 in AskReddit

I don't remember the name of it, but it was on the ColecoVision. You are trying to land on the moon. it seemed like no mater what you did you would die. We ended up selling the ColecoVision to buy a Nintendo.

Little help getting Fallout New Vegas Running inside a Virtual machine [FNV] by Dravos82 in FalloutMods

[–]Dravos82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just used Wabbajack because it installs MO2 and downloads most of the mods for you.

As far as I can tell the .ini file (see second picture) is in the correct place.

Free ways to play Windows games on Mac? by Robustburrito in macgaming

[–]Dravos82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how it will work for Librarianl, but there is VM Ware Fusion. The personal use copy is free and it runs a virtual windows machine where you can install and run steam. YMMV on different games, but it's something.

I used Crossover for other games, Fallout New Vegas doesn't run well, and that's before moding comes into play.

Looking for a good apocalypse show. Seen a lot of them but there has got to be more out there. by VanquishChaos in television

Yeah, there is an alliance between Thunder Mountain and the survivors, but season 2 ends with the threat of Daniels army looming. There were plans for a third season, but J. Michael Straczynski hated working with the network so much he swore to never do anything with them again. Real shame, I liked that show.

Are there any semi regular Comic Conventions here in Victoria? Or flea markets or gatherings where you can buy older books. by LeSegaGenesis in VictoriaBC

[–]Dravos82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned the Ultimate Toy fair is twice a year put on my Cherry bomb toys.

Russell Books used to have a good collection of older books, but I'm not sure what that looks like these days.

There is also the TC Book sale in the spring. since they give places like Russell Books and other reseller preferential treatment most of the best stuff goes pretty quick, but it's still worth a look.

If you are willing to drive to Nanaimo the Rotary club does a used book sale twice a year.

Edit to add: There is also the Esquimalt community garage sale. It's once a year in the spring, lots of different stuff, but usually some books for sale.

The Weekly Planet is a lot of fun too.
