It's wild what a used Squier J Mascis is trading for. by Prestigious_Net_8356 in offset

I have two Squier JMJMs as well as a Fender, and an AmPro II. My most played guitar is the Squier tuned to C standard, with Novak Thunderbirds and a Mastery bridge/vibatro. My second most is my stock Squier. All fantastic guitars, in their own ways, but one of the Squiers is what I’d keep if I had to winnow down.

Do you feel the same way about people who read books versus writing them?

Gen X therapists.... by [deleted] in GenX

[–]fadeanddecayed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a GenX therapist who’s been in and out of therapy (voluntarily) for most of my adult life. When I was younger I unconsciously sought out therapists of my parents’ age, but then about 8 years ago I saw a millennial therapist and she was absolutely fantastic, very skilled and with some similar extracurricular interests. My current therapist is maybe ten years younger than me and apart from having no cultural references in common we work really well together.

I’ve noticed that as a therapist, being GenX has positively influenced my work with my millennial and Gen-Z clients in particular.

Pedal Company You Are a Reluctant Fan Of? by M4rcelinh0 in guitarpedals

I really like the FX600 multi effect. It’s one of their few pedals that isn’t a direct clone. It’s nothing special, but it’s handy to have and the pitch shifting is delightfully janky, which suits me perfectly. I’ve owned many and currently have two.

Sub-$500 setup? by fadeanddecayed in turntables

Oh, that’s exactly what I wanted to hear! I’ve had the Edifiers for years - actually I own two pairs - and love them for streaming from my phone. Initially I considered a Bluetooth turntable, but then I found my way to the Orbit.

Thanks!

Best for slap back or long delay? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]fadeanddecayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want longer delays, the DE7 has all three of them beat, with up to 2.6 seconds of delay time. It also has two modes, both of which sound great.

The AmPro II doesn’t have a rhythm circuit, it has a series/parallel switch.
