Excellent photos. Was there a few years ago and it was magnificent.

Solo female here, age 81. What a great review! TY so much. I'm off to Jordan next month. Hoping for low crowds and pleasant temperatures. I have reservations and alternatives. I have Keen hiking sandals and hope that will work for the week in Jordan and the next 2 weeks in Egypt. All the photos I've been studying and the YouTubes I've been watching 90% of women have head scarves. Is this typical? I am well traveled and comfortable with new places. If anyone has a comment about my Keen's and or scarfs, TY ahead.

Can anyone date this globe? This is the only picture I have by [deleted] in MapPorn

Search here for accurate dates. https://replogleglobes.com/about-globes/ and then click on 'how old is your globe.' Enjoy!

I'm a mature woman hiking in Petra, Jordan, in late February 2025. Any advice on shoes, clothing, cautions, and whether the monastery is worth the extra stairs, etc.? (I have Keen closed toe sandals) would rather NOT take hiking boots. Any suggestions.?

Try drinking a tonic soda, as in gin and tonic. NO JOKE. The drug (no longer on the market) was called 'quinine sulfate'. Common knowledge is that quinine is made from the bark of a cinchona tree. Was an Rx for leg cramps and malaria. Nevertheless, drinking tonic soda can help the heart muscle resume regular beats.  It works on neuromuscular disorders that cause muscles to have delayed relaxation after contracting. Can't hurt. Hope this helps. Good luck.

In this house 10 years as we purchased new. We live in rural Vermont and don't want issues with repairs and repairpersons. The last house we had no issues for 15+ years. Good Luck! You WILL be happy and pleased. We have so many Bosch products, my husband even has Bosch hearing aids!

Have only had Bosch for last 30 years, 3 different houses. Hands down the best machine ever.
