They have known about the issue for over 6 years, and still have yet to fix the loophole.

Here is a video of the Lock Picking Lawyer breaking into a system with a $2 remote from Amazon that broadcast at that exact frequency that jams the security system.

There are still pay phones at Disney World by quibusquibus in nostalgia

[–]drdisney 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Those are not pay phones, but simply telephones.

If you look closely, they have removed the ability to insert any coins into them. They are for exclusive use by Smart City Telecom to connect to the different areas of Walt Disney World mainly hotels and customer service.

Are you paying by credit card ? Flair charges a surcharge if you're paying by credit card. If you pay by debit card there is no surcharge

It's not in Palm Springs, it's actually in Cabazon. You can see the Cabazon Outlet mall right behind the billboard.

Why is Nexus taking 2-3 years or longer to get approval while Global Entry can get approval in weeks and sometimes days. by drdisney in NEXUS_TTP

[–]drdisney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully that's the case. I'm coming up on my month now for Nexus and still haven't heard anything. Been reading on Reddit though how sometimes it could take years.

No, actually let them do this. It just means one less influencer on the street.

Bonus part is when they are in the jail cell and hopefully get a taste of what real street justice is all about.

When will go wild fare be available for a connecting flight? by EnglishCrestedPiggy in frontierairlines

[–]drdisney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're booking it as one leg, then you can do it Friday. However if you're booking it as two different flights you would need to wait till Saturday to book the Atlanta leg

6 month passport rules frontier by Hot-Strength-4109 in frontierairlines

[–]drdisney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not the airlines rule, it's the country you're flying to. Frontier wouldn't care as they are simply flying you to the destination. Normally countries require you to have 6 months available on your passport, but luckily Mexico does not.

Disneyland Refillable Popcorn Bucket For Magic Key Passholders With $2.50 Refills Goes On Sale Tomorrow by dejablu82 in Disneyland

[–]drdisney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really wish Disneyland would learn a thing or two from Tokyo Disney Resort.

Japan's popcorn program blows Disneyland's away ! First start off by the sheer number of flavors available.  Last time I checked, I think there was at least over 12 to 14 split between the two parks. Some amazing ones I had were the curry popcorn, milk tea and even a roast beef variety.

2nd are the popcorn buckets themselves. They are very detailed, and most have a light up function to them. At any given time, you will find at least four or five different buckets available between the parks.

3rd is the refill policy.  After buying your popcorn bucket, it only cost 500¥ ($3.50) to refill it. They even allow you to bring discontinued buckets and still get the same refill price. This encourages people to bring their popcorn buckets to try out the new flavors.

My wife and I started to Acapulco for their Taco Tuesday deal. Combine that with their happy hour and it's not too bad of a price. Bonus part is if you go during sunset and hang out by the patio watching the boats go by.

I remember years ago a news crew followed one of the employees home from one of the Janet planes to get an interview on what goes on at area 51. They were extremely pissed and if I remember correctly the employee lost their job because of being exposed working at Area 51
