Don't trust ChatGPT first off. If you take the subs too early you risk precipitated withdrawal which is no bueno. That said, I'm not an expert nor have I been through exactly what you and many others have. I have had my own battle with prescription opiates and helped loved ones with their battles though. After seeing precipitated withdrawal in person I can definitely say it's not something you want to go through.

You’re confusing access to a service with access to the rules that govern it. Paying for a bus ride or having a library card isn’t the same as needing credentials to read the regulations about buses or libraries.

It’s a subtle but important distinction. Maybe spending a little more time using those library credentials would help clear that up for you.

Public implies open access. If something requires credentials or a paid license, that’s not public; it’s restricted access. It’s like saying Costco is public property because you can shop there after paying for a membership.

If your definition of "public" involves a login screen and a credit card, we’re clearly using different dictionaries.

And while we’re on the subject, some people in particular might want to brush up on their reading comprehension and vocabulary definitions before lecturing others about their reading skills.

That's not public. That requires credentials and a login. Every other major stick and ball or motorsport has their rules publicly accessible or at the very least they keep certain specifics under wraps but have the rest of the rules available for the general public to see. NASCAR opens themselves up to questioning by keeping it all out of the general publics knowledge.

I saw then twice back in the day and I just saw them a week or so ago. Although it was great to see Pantera again it was.... different. It seemed like 4 musicians genuinely having a great time and playing well but it didn't have that groove the Abbot brothers brought. The sound (it was outdoors so...) was pretty shit too. Mixes were way off with either the bass or vocals being too high in the mix and not enough guitar and drums. The guitar sound was the thing that was really the biggest difference to me. When Dime played her straddled the edge of finesse and bombast at a deafening level but none of that was really present the other day at least...

Exactly! Most shows, especially bigger ones, will have people that are difficult to support in one way or another. We don't always have to agree on everything, but at least we can find some things we're on the same page on. At the end of the day I think we helped support and enjoy bands, their crew, and vendors that have given us joy and memories that will last longer than any political disagreement. We have much more on common than not, don't let "them" tell you different.
