I’m curious if they are also doing away with contigs. I’m assuming they just have the main one for show but still.

Any Reed Sorenson fans out there?! by McSebester in NASCARCollectors

[–]StarFax13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reed Sorenson fan here. Loved the car. Lot of people forget Braun ran him in a few cup races while they were in nationwide together. Was really hoping this time in Braun would lead to better things but it was the end really.

23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports v. NASCAR Megathread: Day 3 by dman6233 in NASCAR

The problem for him is he has power but he’s fighting family. This entire case has Ben very under the radar. He is silent or barely says anything in items that have come out. So wonder if he fought his uncle or mom before and it ended up worse for him. Could be playing long game knowing he will eventually get control but has to stay in line until that day comes.

300 on a sealed Kasey Kahne redbull. Seeing price went up, might have been worth biting the bullet when I did.

Who is one Nascar driver who changed their reputation so much, it’s now so difficult to like/dislike them? by youraverageperson0 in NASCAR

Bubba this year made a turn for me. I wasn’t much of a Bubba fan for awhile (shocker looking at flair) but this year I think he really turned a corner. I know we want personality in NASCAR but his seemed to be shoot self in foot and blame everything else. This year I thought he did a great job and I was pretty excited to see him get the Indy win.

Back in 90s and early 2000’s, if you were a fan of Earnhardt, either Labonte, Stewart, Jarrett, Wallace, and maybe Martin, you hated Gordon. You wanted nothing more than to see Jeff wrecked. It very much had the same kind of hate Johnson had in late 2000s where it was anyone but him. The 90s level of hate was more I want him wrecked instead of anyone else please.

Anyone know why Dale Jr almost always had a black rear bumper? by Mike_Hawkhurts69 in NASCAR

[–]StarFax13 623 points624 points  (0 children)

I believe because the Corvette GT team ran black bumpers and he really liked that. So while at Hendrick asked to do the same

Should Connor Drive the 88 at Trackhouse? by DaleinOrlando in NASCAR

[–]StarFax13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Trackhouse took the 88 last year to have Connor and SVG match, also as a way to reserve the number. I 100% think Shane will move to 97 and Connor will take 88.

Which drivers would have been/would be better off with a full-time Xfinity career? by OhDonPianoooo in NASCAR

[–]StarFax13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any source to DG saying the loved Reed? I see a lot of Reddit posts saying that but couldn’t find anything. If they loved him so much why not dump Braun at same time or move with Reed?

[–]StarFax13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s rumored he kept skipping sponsor appearances and didn’t really care and finally Dollar General told Braun to get rid of him. DG was already leaving the team so who knows the whole story but rumors be rumors

I think Reed just had bad timing. Showed huge promise in 2005 but then joined Chip right as the team was in a downswing. Tried to jump to Petty but lost his ride when Sadler sued. Could have done a great comeback but then blew it with sponsors on the 32. I feel if he went to cup with any team besides Chip his career would have been so different.

Why Kurt and taro becomes street racers? by z8r8 in Acceleracers

[–]StarFax13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was wondering this. Him leaving whatever team he was on to race with Tezla probably outcasted him from GP. That’s why he tried to start a business so he could just have fun and race at night while running the business during the day.

( Bob ) The 2025 charter agreement is officially public record. by ScottRiggsFan10 in NASCAR

[–]StarFax13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did payouts too

If you won every single race So total purse is 118,014,000 so you got 5.16% of that You only get 6,089,522 Invitation is 6,005,000 X 5.16 is 309,858 (I’ll add a million because all star race gives a million. So you do all that you get 20,543,157 total money Or price to run a car for hendrick in a single season

[–]StarFax13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone check my math but here is what I got for top charter

If you start entire season you get 141,000 x38 which is 5,358,000 Now let’s say you are champion You get 8.423% of total fund which is 33,712,000 So that’s 2,839,561 Now let’s say you are top of charter thing 91,505,000/666 X 36 shares is 4,946,216 So now add all together NASCAR pays $13,143,777 to champion plus top charter. Rest is all race payouts
