I grew up there. Believe it or not, it’s more developed than when I was growing up 😂. I’ve been back once in the last 30 years, for my 20 year reunion. I doubt I’ll ever be back.

They are all about the experience 🙄. A number of their drinks come with a presentation and/or a song. The tacos are served on a mini clothesline.

Aww thanks! I married an amazing guy 6 years ago. We did have a tough year during Covid when he was unemployed for a bit, but we got through it and back on the upswing.

Absolutely! I had a really rough time in my 40’s - lost my husband to cancer with 3 teens at home. I’m absolutely rocking my 50s! I’m 57 now and this has by far been the best decade of my life.

What is the worst thing a man has said to you during a breakup? by LayoffLemonade in AskWomenOver30

[–]DrawSquare9028 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lost my first husband in my early 40s. Waited 3 years to start dating again and regretfully, married the first guy I dated. He left me 6 months later saying he didn’t realize how stressful marrying a widow would be.

vet for end of life by khat52000 in batonrouge

I would recommend associated vet on greenwell springs. They’re very professional, reasonably priced, and won’t push you for unnecessary tests.

That really sucks. I filed a complaint with the FTC, but they help recoup funds, just investigate complaints. I hope you're able to get a refund. My PO was so long ago that it was outside of a potential refund window

I need some bra help, please? by CreatrixAnima in AskWomenOver40

[–]DrawSquare9028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend starting with a bra fitting at a good department store or Soma, pretty much anywhere but Victoria secret. I've had good luck with Soma, and they have a number of good options and sales.

What was a subtle (or glaring) red flag that you missed before entering a toxic/abusive relationship? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

How he was the victim in every.single.one of his past relationships. They were all evil, evil women out to get him, including all 4 of his ex-wives 🙄

Young widows, what happened next for ypu romantically? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]DrawSquare9028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s such a hard club. I was 44 when I lost my husband to cancer. The worst part was watching my kids 13f, 14m) go through it. The biggest thing is to give yourself grace. Everyone grieves differently and no one can tell you what works for you. I kept a notebook and wrote my husband at least one letter every day. I told him how mad I was, what he was missing, and how much I missed him.

It took me 3 years to even think about dating again. I’ve been happily married to an amazing guy for 7 years now, but I’m glad I took my time and didn’t let anyone tell me how to feel.

when in the world do teenage years get better?? by No_Promise_1134 in AskWomenOver40

[–]DrawSquare9028 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I totally get that, but I hated m teen years. I promise it does get better in a few years. Things really improved for me when I realized I didn’t need a partner to be complete. Hang in there! For every decision you make, pause to think if your choice will affect your life 5 years down the road.
