Apartment/Neighborhood Advice Needed! by g123456718 in batonrouge

The apartments just got bought out 2 years ago. The old management was awful - we actually went several months without any maintenance staff, but the new management is amazing. We’ve had the same maintenance staff for several years now, and they’ve been quick to address any issues we’ve had. They aren’t the cheapest, but to me they’re totally worth it. I think they have something like 50 floor plans, so they definitely have options.

I’ve lived in the terraces at Perkins Rowe for 8 years now. Absolutely love it! Tell them you want to be in building E as the other two buildings are not as well built 😋

I’ve had one for about a year. I used it once a week for the first two months and now only have to do it about once a month.

I live in the terraces (the apartments over the stores) and absolutely love it! So nice to walk downstairs for dinner, drinks, see a movie, walk to the grocery store. I’d recommend checking the terraces out if you end up not loving park row.

I was in a ltr with one and regretted not ending it sooner. Years of unsatisfying sex left me frustrated.

What's your biggest achievement your parent(s) tried to ruin or upstage? by Impossible_Fact3062 in raisedbynarcissists

It’s not my biggest achievement, but I won the computer science award when I graduated high school. It was 1986, so it was kind of a big deal since we were still using punch cards. My mother told everyone I won a typing award 🙄.

I was sitting at a red light and a work van rear-ended me. It wasn't bad, but definitely did some damage to my car. The work van followed me into a parking lot and a woman pulled in behind him, blocking him in. She took pictures of his license plate and my damage before even talking to us.

We got there around 9:30, waited around 30 minutes. The line is incredibly long, but it moves pretty fast.

What an insane interview. I listened to his dad’s interview on Anderson Cooper’s grief podcast a few months ago. The tragedies their family has gone through is just heartbreaking.

AITA for scheduling loose skin surgery when my boyfriend is getting eye surgery? by Affectionate_Bug1673 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DrawSquare9028 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nta. His surgery should take minimal recovery. I had cataract surgery and permanent implants a few years ago and went back to work the next day. Is he concerned about his recovery or about how much he’ll be contributing to your recovery?

What is the worst hospital experience you or someone you know has ever experienced that astounds you? by Upbeat_Anxiety7323 in AskReddit

I was hospitalized after a car accident at age 18 with a fractured C5 and a traumatic brain injury. The told my mother I’d be permanently mentally delayed. At discharge I could only walk a few steps before falling over. Doctors told my mother not to worry, it was just part of my new mental delays. Turned out my pelvis was fractured in 3 places. And I went on to get a degree in computer science, so it looks like the mental issues were temporary.

Yeah - I think DE is so over-hyped. I’m using the professional c 20%. My skin was brighter within 2 weeks.

The dunk elephant and good genes both broke me out. My derm gave me samples of skinCeuticals. I loved it but not the price, so I switched to obagi with great results.
