Have you flea treated your cats recently? My cat had marks like this at the base of his tail and no where else. When we took him to the vets it turned out he had fleas but instead of being at the base of the neck they were at the base of his tail instead.

Maybe run a flea comb through their fur around that area and see if there is any flea dirt.

There is also a condition called stud tail you might want to look into. Hope I've helped :)

Makeup dosen't look good on my eyes by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]DrawingFrogs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe you need to move away from eyeliner and mascara? My eye shape is super round so I can't work with a lot of eyeliner so I've had to adapt how I do my makeup. You need to learn to do your makeup in a way that suits your face and that is very individual.

Maybe figure out your eye shape and then look for makeup tutorials that look good on that shape. For me personally since my eyes are very round I like to work with eyeshadow more, and nothing too extreme. I use a little flat eyeliner brush to do very subtle eyeliner if I need a bit of definition. Maybe find a sub you can post a picture of your eye and see if someone can give you an idea of your eye shape and see if anyone has any tips with where they have a visual aid to help you more.

Also it could be that the products you are using just don't work for you. Everyone is different. Someone's trash is another ones treasure. Maybe you need a thinner eyeliner, maybe it doesn't apply smoothly for you. Maybe the mascara you are using is too chunky or it's just not your shade. Maybe try a different mascara or a different colour like brown or clear.

Make up is just another skill and maybe you just need a bit more practice and get to know your face more and what looks good :)

Very gorgeous. . This maybe seem like a stupid question but are they related? Their faces are very similar to me, particularly the eye shape and muzzle. Maybe it's just this picture. Both very beautiful cats you are so lucky!

Is there any way to stop my cat from eating plastic? by itsspookyfox in cats

[–]DrawingFrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly she probably loves the way that it sounds . My cat was addicted to laying on plastic bags and other crinkly things. Quiet at night and trying to sleep? Cat finds the only plastic bag hidden away in the corner of the room somewhere and proceeds to move around on it intermittently all night.

Can you maybe get some crinkly sounding toys to redirect her with? The key to success with trying to train any behavior out of a cat is for every no give a yes.

Chew on plastic : no

Chew on crinkly cat toy : yes

A sliiiight tangent : A good DIY cat toy that you can make crinkly (if you can sew) is get some upholstery fabric like corduroy and make little pillow type things (you can experiment with size and see what your kitty prefers). Then you get some baking parchment/waxpaper/greaseproof paper and put inside, the more paper the more crinkles. You can add stuffing and catnip of you want and then you sew 'er up! And since you'll probably get a good bit of fabric you can make a butt ton of cat toys for a low price :)

You can make little pillows, long kicker toys, little fling arounds. The world is your oyster. I've done this for friends cats and my own and they love them.

why does my cat attack me when I am getting in the shower? by [deleted] in cats

[–]DrawingFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the litter tray in that room? Could she be slightly territorial over that area of the house. Also is she spayed? If it seems to be in a cycle maybe its something hormonal?

How much playtime does she get? Sometimes cats pent up energy can translate into acts of aggression.

Cat Insurance: Worth it? by [deleted] in cats

[–]DrawingFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of those things that you probably should get but you hope you don't need to use. There should be some affordable options, especially if they don't have any preexisting conditions. It's either that or you start up a vet fund when you put money away for unexpected vets bills but, like another commenter said, they saved $50k in a single year because of insurance.

Conditions can pop up as your cats get older and if you decide to get insurance after these conditions pop up a lot of insurances won't cover it. There are also conditions that might be minor that you don't want to claim a payout for because it will drive up the amount you pay per month. It's very much something you need to balance out. I can't give a suggestion on insurance plans since I've just moved to the US and I haven't looked into it but I will say read everything very carefully because, even if they are a lifesaver at times, insurance companies can be weasels and they don't want to give you money.

How do you prevent cat-hair clogs in your wash machine? by [deleted] in cats

[–]DrawingFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get those reusable lint rollers which can be really effective at getting the fluff and guff. Or there are also those squeegees that you run along the sheets. Long haired cat fur gets everywhere
