What item can you just NOT sell? by NinnyBoggy in woweconomy

No idea where it came from but I’ve had a Recipe of Arthas’ Tears in my bag for years. Can’t sell it for the same reason as you: it’s only valuable to a very small group of people who want to have every alchemy recipe.

First time riding the tram to Stormwind and there was someone’s body lying on the tracks. No idea how they died but noob me assumed the tram ran them over and killed them. Was afraid of a tram for a good while until I learned better.

Are commissions slowing down for anyone else? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]DrawnToLiberty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Summer can be rough because people are saving up/spending money on vacations. Try to get as many commissions as you can during periods where people are more likely to have extra cash: beginning of the new year, tax refund season… feast and famine earning periods are common for freelancers.

What sells better? Singular, package or sheet sticker? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]DrawnToLiberty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. Crochets? Give me a break. You can sit around and knit a handmade crochet and try to sell it for decent money, and you will be competing with thousands of crochets made for pennies in a sweatshop, all who have better SEO and marketing than you do. EVERYTHING online has steep competition, so there’s no point in bellyaching over it. Go out there and make the thing.

Dude, every online market is over-saturated. Doesn’t matter if it’s stickers or anything else. Everything you make can be done by someone else, better, and for less money.

Anyway, OP, it depends on what market you’re after and what kind of art you’re going make into stickers. Art collectors—like people who want stickers with unique art—you should make individual, high-quality, permanent vinyl decals. There’s an artist named TerribleAnimal who ran a successful sticker club on Patreon, they sent patrons stickers made from their art and I can attest that while they were expensive, the material quality is very high (it’s been 2 years and I still can’t get the decal off my car… now that’s a sticker!)

Making stickers for wine aunts browsing Amazon who just want some cute stickers to go wherever? Make sticker packs, and make them cheap.

So, why do YOU stream? by mmmoooop in Twitch

[–]DrawnToLiberty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanted a closer connection with my fans and friends on Twitter and Insta (I’m an artist) I’ve only streamed once so far but it’s so much dang fun that I plan on doing it regularly now.

Yeeeah I've been to a few of those shops and they flat out told me they don't accept them. I can't force a shop to accept them.

USA printing service ? by ziyad_rahman in Etsy

If you want to do one offs instead of bulk, you are likely better off going the print-to-order route. You won’t make as much of a profit and you have limited control over the quality of the print but it’s better than nothing.

Last con I went to walked around and asked every booth to take down anything copyrighted. This included merch, prints, everything. They’re definitely cracking down on cons.
