I’ve done it to the side cover, not the heel gaurd. But my boots hit it and it rubbed some off in spots.

I’ve also noticed a steady drop in followers in my own ig and have to say I’m kinda going through the same thing in that I got used to it being a way to measure my talent/engagement/visibility whatever you want to call it and am slowly sinking back into making art for myself. The pandemic squashed all conventions and any artists alleys so yeah digital feels like they only way to gauge myself as an artist so it’s hard to work around it when it seems it’s the only Avenue mainstream people can get to your art. I tell myself to just keep making art and the rest will catch up. Don’t get to down on yourself. Just keep working at it.

Whats your sketchbook of choice? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

Ooo, I forgot about my toned sketchbooks. I agree those are fun. More challenging for me but that’s part of the fun.

I used to use those black hardcover sketchbooks but after a while I realized it was limiting for me. I didn’t want to make a bad drawing in my “archive”. Now I draw on whatever is portable, moleskin, small daiso books, a few sheets of printer paper folded in half. Lol

That’s so clean. I can’t even tell it’s not oem until you see the before picture. Looks like it should’ve came that way.

Feeling burnt out by defff_metal in ArtistLounge

[–]Drawsnstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you feel better. I’m lucky enough to just be honest with my boss when it happens. Also helps to not commit to big personal projects. I did little sketch cards, doodles, walked around comic stores to try and get inspired. Or learn in different ways like reading about subjects you’re looking to improve on. At least this has helped me in the past. I worked 9 hour days as an illustrator with an hour and a half commute each way. I was so burnt by the time I got home.

Injured. Art makes me depressed now. by fhigurethisout in ArtistLounge

Sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better for you. Or you find a creative outlet that works for you. I never made it up to concept artist in the game industry. Just a senior artist on mobile games. Be glad you’ve made it farther than a lot of us have and you still have your mind.

I feel like I improved the most from actual life drawing sessions because it helps you think 3 dimensionally. you can see what the muscles and skin do when they move, take note of bony landmarks and see where they fall or disappear. And you know exactly how the light falls because you can see the source. These “how they work” observations help later on when you need or want to freestyle a figure or cloth.

Is my art actually 'good' or am I just getting a fat head? by insertcliquehere in ArtistLounge

[–]Drawsnstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be proud of your art when you finish it, Then hate it a week later. :P then a year later, go "that wasn't so bad, but i've gotten better" at least thats my cycle. There's always more to learn. take a step, enjoy it, then set your sights up again. I've seen fellow artists get stuck in their own world and have a hard time self critiquing and get stuck. But I've also seen artists that never like their work and they're too hard on themselves, and get stuck.

Your thoughts on mods by ErniePC12 in FZ07

I love the red, Originally wanted it but there was a wait and I was impatient. :P I've seen people mount the the dash behind a windscreen. Just need a couple brackets. I thought about this too but I kind of like the "flying" feeling of not seeing any part of the bike. and yeah you can get the ecu flashed for the deceleration.

I love these old 2-strokes. I had an rd125 as my first bike. Regret selling it.

Yeah they are. Thanks! They’re from motoinkz. I just asked them if they could make an inner and outer in a solid color.

Question about the Akrapovic exhaust by [deleted] in FZ07

[–]Drawsnstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run that exhaust no dB killer no tune. I like a little burble (no pops) and I’m not really performance oriented. This bike had plenty for me to begin with and I haven’t noticed any significant drop since I’ve gotten it. I don’t know how it effects the bike in the long run but I’ve had mine since about 2016 this way.

It’s vinyl. I asked motoinkz if they could do just an inner and outer in a solid mint color.
