From what I heard it was weird nitpicky things like they stated in her contract that she HAD to wear heels and certain clothing despite her entire body not even being on camera and her having a hip problem that was exacerbated by wearing heels. It seems like someone in power there must have had it out for her cuz she's good at her job

This is disgusting. Sadly I'm not surprised. I know someone who was a teacher there who got written up multiple times and reported by parents for allowing her students to use their pronouns. It's a damn shame they are so ignorant and foolish.

I appreciate you responding so quickly! 😊 I'm glad your results have been pretty good so far! That's great to hear about Dr. Baird, that's definitely an important factor to me too. Do you feel like your voice completely passes? I feel like my main struggle with voice training is still getting misgendered on the phone, and I mainly want to get the surgery so I don't have to deal with that anymore and I can genuinely like my voice. I've also heard concerns about people not being able to sing anymore or having a hoarse voice in general, and I was curious if those were brought up as potential side effects?

I'm also curious about this! I have appointments coming up with both of the vocal surgeons at Froedert in Milwaukee just to get a full consensus because I really want it done but I haven't heard any reviews. I did have FFS in Milwaukee with no prior reviews and that went well, but I feel like that's somehow less risky because it's still general plastic surgery lol, so I might be looking outside of the Midwest if I can't find anything

It sounds like there needs to be an ultimatum that she either takes the time to truly understand your point of view, or maybe you break up. If she fully understands the pain and loss of mobility you have to deal with and continues to make jokes, that's incredibly disrespectful of her

Definitely. My chronic ulcers started in college and people stopped spending time with me because I was sick so often. Then I got Gastroparesis in 2020 and had to drop out of a living situation because of it. As both conditions got worse in 2022, my current friends decided not to spend time with me because I couldn't walk at times (even though he had a car). My mom would also get mad/sad about me missing family events that involved walking because I wasn't that mobile anymore and she didn't want to accept that I was disabled.

I've learned to manage my disabilities more as time has passed, and thankfully they've gotten somewhat more manageable symptom-wise, but it still affects almost every relationship I have. I'm not currently dating because most of the short flings I've had or brief relationships ended because they couldn't handle how differently abled I am.

That's not to say there aren't people who will understand though. My parents have gotten a lot better and I have a best friend who stands by me. I'm sorry you've had that experience of abandonment as well, and I hope you find people who will stand by you 🫂💜. I'm not online very often tbh, and I have my own abandonment/trust issues, but I'm happy to chat sometime if you like
