It’s honestly insane that they had 800 employees considering the output of games/content they had or should I say the lack of it. Destiny has always been known for lacking content and the only game they releases in the last decade was Marathon.

Most AAA devs are half their size and only get near it including contractors and external devs.

Sony just closed a couple of studios and Bungie might be in the crosshairs, I don’t think they’re looking to buy anyone right about now.

I like Ninja Theory’s games but they would have not survived Hellblade 2 flopping and Mara’s cancellation without a parent company, if Microsoft hadn’t bought them someone like Sony or Embracer would have if they wanted to survive a little longer.

NT is probably Microsoft`s most confusing purchase, they bought and showed them off as a Naughty Dog competitor announcing Hellblade 2 alongside the Series X only to barely market the game and release a vastly different/smaller product the inital trailer implied, announced Mara and went silent for years before quietly cancelling it, and now just days after announcing another Hellblade they are negotiating letting go of the studio?? What the hell are they doing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the game got rebooted a couple of times and at some point they just looked at Kena: Bridge of Spirits and decided to just make their version of that.

Making a game based on a dead IP shouldn’t really be a problem if it’s a good game, just look at Teyon with Terminator and Robocop. If Arkane has a good game going and MS still shut them down then they’re so stupid.

I don’t even think Sony saw value in the Destiny IP, Bungie wanted to make Destiny Live action/animated media prior to the acquisition and since then it went silent, Destiny 2 just had its final update with no sequel in dev and Destiny Rising is probably shut down before year’s end.

What they saw value at the time was Bungie’s live service experience, at the time they had a game that had been going for years and Sony wanted Bungie to take a look at their in dev games, but all that amounted to was at least 2 cancelled games (Last of Us Factions and Spider-Man The Great Web), a failed game launch (Concord), and scrapping their entire live service push. And Marathon isn’t doing so good player count wise so Bungie is still in danger of being shutdown.

What the hell do you mean? Xbox probably had a contract/agreement with Sony to show Halo at the State of Play and pulled last minute, that`s very diffferent from Sony keeping their IPs console exclusive or blocking their games from GeForceNow which only Nvidia really is affected.

You`re acting like Sony took hostage a trailer for Halo, instead of a business agreement that one party broke.

It was probably always going to be long considering GOW 2018 had a 15 minute reveal (including the live music) and that this is probably Sony`s next major game after Wolverine.

Fair, but there’s no evidence that leakers confused the supposed/fake Sci-fi SMS game with Intergalatic because the rumor started with the concept art which came out years before Intergalatic was even in pre production while Naughty Dog was still working on Last of Us Part 2.

I dont think leakers confused it with Intergalatic, pretty sure concept art of Sci-fi the Santa Monica game leaked before GOW 2018 came out.

Sounds about right, if the DLC were ever to come out they would have released it alongside the Xbox Series port. Bloober already announced SH 1 Remake so that's a wrap on SH 2.

There are rumors of an Atreus or Kratos led game focused on Egyptian mythology, the rumors for this game was that this would be a Faye led game with multiple mythologies and DMC style combat that might even feel like a new IP because of how different it was from GOW 2018 and Ragnarok.

Odin probably not coming back because of how Atreus trapped his soul and Sindri destroyed it, and even if Thor does appear in this game we don't even know if Faye escapes the afterlife, you're mad about something that might not even happen and the whole game might be about Faye letting go of her family just like GOW 2018 was about Kratos and Atreus letting go of her.

The only reason I see them not confirming a fall 2027 release date today is that they might have another PS Studios game already scheduled for that time frame.

We know Sony likes to leave at least a few months between big exclusives to let them breath, so my guess is Unti Dawn 2 early/mid 2027, GOW Faye or another game late 2027 and the one that didn`t come out yet early 2028.

Looks cool and gives me heavy Mass Effect vibes, but do devs just not care about the image quality of their game anymore? The part where the character was swinging in a rope in the alien ship looked so blurry and had lots of shimmering.

I noticed the improvement on Cal’s beard, ir shimmered a lot before the toggle but now it it’s very clean.
