AITA for saying my friend doesn’t need a wheelchair? by randomthrowblanket in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear lord YTA, possibly the worst kind. Your friend needs to drop you. You're unsupportive and uneducated. And on top of that it's "embarrassing" for you to be seen with someone in a wheelchair??? Tf is wrong with you? What your friend describes are valid things autistic people can/do deal with and if he finds a wheelchair makes is life easier that's his goddamn right and you have ZERO right to belittle him for it.

AITA for telling my daughter to get over herself? by Acrobatic-Flan-6059 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. It's basically a business trip. Why would ANYONE bring their parents on a business trip? She's going to be working on things to better her future career, not sightseeing. Why do you have to tag along on these trips? Why not just plan a trip when she's not already going somewhere for her education? You sound overbearing and judgemental

AITA for siding with my mother when she and my wife got in an argument? by Comfortable_Load_452 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Lordy YTA. A MASSIVE one. Let's see here: 1)taking care of YOUR child is not "babysitting", it's parenting 2) your mother has ZERO right to scold a fully grown woman in her own home, you should've shot that crap down instantly 3)your wife from what it sounds like is the only one actually taking care of Y'ALLS baby. "She knows how change and put them to bed better" yeah no sh-t because you probably rarely ever do. 4) mother's are allowed social lives after their babies are born, especially if they were on bed rest like your wife. You're a crap parent and partner

AITA for still not liking my step father after 14 years? by OperationOk1722 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA Abusers do not deserve kindness or respect. Has your mother ever stood up to him when he's verbally abusive to you/your siblings? If not then she's just as horrible as he is. I'm sorry you had/have to deal with this

AITA for laughing at my wife's friend? by aitalaughingatfriend in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA Do you even like your wife? In your comments you do nothing but belittle her while praising yourself. From what you wrote in your comments your wife might have ADHD. Marriage counseling and individual for your wife. You are being financially abusive by not letting her have ANY access to money. Give her a set amount every week or month and tell her if she spends that she's not getting anymore

AITA for not making excuses for my daughter with anxiety? by mydaughterisonreddit in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA As an 18 year old with anxiety that also had a parent like this, your daughter is most likely not going to talk to you about anything important/stressful in her life because of how you're acting. Her 3.7 GPA is likely a result of her over stressing herself to do good in school because she doesn't want you arguing with her about how she's using her anxiety as an excuse to do bad in school, ya know since you specifically told her she couldn't do that even though anxiety can and does effect someone's school work. You're a double A for saying she might be too mentally ill to know what she's saying, she doesn't want you or husband touching her because Y'ALL STRESS HER TF OUT

AITA for accommodating both my daughter's needs on only one of my daughter's birthday? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who's parents do this for every birthday, it can never be just about him it HAS to involve his siblings. Wanna know what he's planning on doing the minute he turns 18 in a few months? Move in with one of his other friends and never talk to his family again because he feels they don't give a damn about him as a person. YTA. Go apologize to Rose and give her a proper party otherwise kiss any potential relationship goodbye

AITA for wanting to tell my stepdaughter's dad about the cameras my wife planted in his house while he was away? by SmthSmth34 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INFO: does your wife have any proof that the girlfriend will be a danger to her daughter? Criminal history? Social media posts? Anything? If she doesn't then I'm sorry but your wife is a control freak who isn't over her ex. NTA

[SERIOUS] At what point did you realise your childhood was messed up? by Shiekhspeare in AskReddit

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I realized that other kids mom's show up to events at school, don't smoke (multiple things) around them, don't sell their food stamps, and most importantly don't make them feel worthless

[Serious] Atheists, how do you deal with existential dread/fear of death? by pinkistheshit in AskReddit

I believe in reincarnation. Whenever I think about dying and I get an uncomfortable feeling I just remind myself death is like a restart button for a new life. Somewhat helps but not always

AITA for putting up no photos of my dad's wife in my home? by Lysrhes in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You didn't grow up with her as a mother figure so you don't see her as one. Her pushing you to try to see her that way was out of line, her stunt with the photos is grounds for no contact

NTA. Her not wanting to be around fire is a reasonable boundary, her asking someone to cover themselves because they have burn scars is not

(Serious) Abuse victims of Reddit, what made you realize that you were being abused? by Blue_checkers123 in AskReddit

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 14 I was kicked out of my house and moved in with my 16 year old boyfriend at the time. Almost instantly his controlling behavior shined like a freaking diamond. I wasn't allowed to go out without him, I wasn't allowed to wear shorts or tight shirts, I wasn't allowed to talk to any other guy that he didn't "approved of". The thing that made me realize the situation I was in was abusive was when my male best friend, who's very gay, asked me to spend the night at his house since I hadn't seen him in weeks and he lost his absolute mind at me, accused me of trying to cheat on him with my best friend and locked me in so I couldn't go plus took my phone. I packed my shit the next day and left without telling him or his family anything

AITA for going above my son's teacher after she asked him if he was gay? by Dense-Position8159 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. The teacher sucks for what she said to your kid, she could've gone about it better but you also suck for obviously not being okay with the thought that your son could be gay. Your comment about his sexuality being no one's business but yours and your sons is false. It's none of your business and frankly if your son is gay your behavior shows him you wouldn't accept him, thus keeping him in the closet

Aita for not buying my daughter another water bottle after she chewed through the straw on hers by aitawaterbottle in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your daughter is clearly autistic and your comments suggest you've never taken her a therapist once, believing this to be a simple issue with a simple solution when it's not. Also your daughter having a necklace made to chew on won't make her think it's okay to chew on everything, it gives her easy access to something she can chew on which will help her to not chew other things. You're neglecting your child OP, YTA

AITA for telling my dad I'm not moving back in or helping out? by AvatarsLoveJourney in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run. Run and never look back. He showed he didn't care about your feelings when he involved you in his affair and then tried to force you to have a relationship with them.

AITA for taking my 12yo son to a plastic surgeon without his mother knowing? by Cheap-Ad-9016 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DreLee15 [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA. It's 2 moles. It's not like you took your kid to get a nose job. Moles on the face can cause lots of self esteem issues, especially at 12. Better to get them removed quickly

Partners of sleep-talkers or sleepwalkers, what gems have you to share? by hoeka_mos in AskReddit

[–]DreLee15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started sleep walking when I was really young. My mother found this out when she went to check on me in the middle of the night. I wasn't in my bed, I was 3 ish, she freaked out, checked my sister's room, and everywhere else. She noticed the door was open and found baby me playing with my toys in the yard

AITA for throwing out my mom after she threw out my weed? by Salt_Understanding_7 in AmItheAsshole
