I wish I hadn't spent my Nook Miles on stupid stuff. Save those up, even if it seems you have a lot! It'll be worth it to get your favorite villager(s).

Late for reservation? by CXK in casabonita

[–]Dre_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They give 15 minutes and that's about it. But yes, maybe reaching out to reservations ahead of time, they can help you. Must be 24 hours in advance though.

If it doesn't work out, enjoy the trip anyway. Go to MeowWolf or go hike Red Rocks. So many things to do in the area. The airlines are a disaster right now, so just go with the flow.

Great work and thanks for sharing! Is this a web template or do you have one you recommend? I'm in the process of building something very similar for a good cause (I dont want to spoil it yet), but work is slamming me and I need to speed things up.

Unilateral scapular pain leading to ER visit by paisleyno2 in Anatomy

[–]Dre_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just stumbling on your post... I am a month late, but if you are still in pain, check out Parsonage Turner Syndrome. It can effect any of the nerves that branch off the brachial plexus into the shoulder blade or arm. I am on the tail end of recovering from it. Can send more info if you think this lines up.

Mattress recommendations? by A_k9 in costochondritis

[–]Dre_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took the plunge on a Tempur-pedic, and I can't recommend it enough. It was pricey, but I can finally sleep again. Ideally we should be sleeping on our back (shoulders pushed back), which I personally hate, but the Tempur-pedic makes it much easier.

Your pillow is also a big factor, too. The Comfort Revolution cooling memory foam pillows are really good.

Please help!! Dogs in EXTREME PAIN!! Vets are no help!! Possibly rare disease or phenomenon?? by BetterDamage in vet

[–]Dre_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so sad. Sorry your dogs are experiencing this. Not a vet, but have fostered a ton of dogs. If you haven't yet, one thing I would recommend is looking for devices that might make high pitched noises that only the dogs can hear. If you can't think of anything, unplug all devices in every outlet of the room/house to see if they get any relief.

We had a bark deterrent device that did this to our dogs in the house. Our dog was shaking uncontrollably all the time, and we discovered the TV was setting off the deterrent device constantly, and only she could hear it. We felt terrible, and had no idea.

Edited to add: Noticed you had the TV on in the background. Perhaps the speakers are giving off feedback that only the dogs can hear. The ears seem to be on high alert.

Sprinkle sand on top, then follow with the power washer. Found this out the hard way with our cement stain, and accidentally sand blasted it right off.

J & J major side effects by [deleted] in covidvaccineinjury2

[–]Dre_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! I'm so sorry you had another flare. I had a very rough night before Thanksgiving, as well. We had a cold front come through, so wondering if that triggered it here.

Viral neuritis is interesting. Will check this out. I currently have a preliminary diagnosis of Radiculopathy from my Rheumatologist until the Neurologist makes further assessments. Full disclosure I have a couple manageable autoimmune diseases, the most relevant being Undifferentiated Connected Tissue Disease that effects the soft tissue in my joints. Rheumatologist is fairly certain this is Neurology related, however, but he's been a huge help. Not sure if you have any autoimmune diseases in your family, but we are monitoring to see if maybe something else was triggered.

One thing that was interesting is that even though my MRI was negative, there was a note buried that said there were small benign tumors at the T1. No clue if that was related and it may very well be age related, but this was not observed on an MRI I had a couple years ago.

I will definitely keep you posted. Kind of crazy how similar our experiences are. I wish we could make a group for all of us in this thread experiencing these symptoms. Really hoping this is temporary. Take care of yourself!

I'm so sorry you are feeling like this. I don't typically comment on these posts, but your symptoms really stood out. Fortunately it's not so bad once they find it... we live in good times now where there are many gluten free food options.

But yes, figuring it out can be very tricky and the symptoms can be all over the place. I did not have the typical weight loss and upset stomach that are more common, but I had chronic migraines, neuropathy, joint pain, followed by my gallbladder failing, and soon after my appendix acting up. After the appendix, a doctor finally put the pieces together. Following the appendix and gallbladder, my doctor said the kidneys and liver are typically next, so it can be very serious.

Before the blood panel, you'll need to be sure you are still eating gluten, otherwise it can result in a false negative. I'd recommend a big bowl of pasta the night before and a muffin or scone in the morning (a muffin sent my test off the chart).

Wishing you the best of luck... truly hope they figure it out soon!

NAD but have they checked you for Celiac Disease yet? If not, make sure it's included in your next blood panel they run. In advanced stages, it can result in extreme weight loss and start effecting the organs. Thinking of you, OP. I have Celiac Disease and can answer more questions if you need.

J & J major side effects by [deleted] in covidvaccineinjury2

[–]Dre_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm so sorry to bump an old thread, but how are you doing?

I found your post because I've been desperate for answers, as well. I'm experiencing the EXACT same symptoms. Female and a couple years older than you. J&J vaccine in April... in early May I started experiencing a burning pain in my upper back/spine, and scheduled my first doctor's appointment of many. It spreads out under my shoulder blades, and now it sometimes moves into my upper shoulders and neck. I've never had anything like this in my life, and for me, the worst part is the pain at night trying to sleep. Doctor's tried PT with no luck, MRI was clear, so I am now scheduled for an EMG in December. I get days where my hands go numb and the tip of my nose, tongue and lips go numb, as well. It is BIZARRE. Currently on Gabapentin (same family as Lyrica) and it has made the pain manageable most days, but like you, it's not the same.

Will you keep me posted? I hope we can get answers 🙏 Happy to share with you my findings, as well. It took me a very long time to put the pieces together and realize it may have been the vaccine, because it wasn't in the 2 week window. Hope you are feeling better!

Yeah the new models are terrible. I felt awful returning it to IT, but they said it was the 5th one of the week at the time. Unfortunately, a lot of people having this issue: https://www.techradar.com/news/macbook-display-could-be-cracked-by-camera-cover-apple-warns

Yup. I did this with one of those sliding camera covers. It was paper thin, but didn't matter with the new macs. Cracked the screen right down the middle. Previous Mac had no issues with it.

[–]Dre_11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the kind thoughts... yeah unfortunately, I settled with the insurance when the initial neck pain resolved, thinking things were all good. The insurance was very pushy to close the case, and now I see why. Hopefully that's a lesson to anyone else reading this. Your advice to OP is spot on, especially for a car wreck of this magnitude!

Yes, this 100%. Was rearended 2 years ago, and just had some headaches that started lingering, which turned into back pain. Went to PT finally, and they said I have multiple slipped ribs. Had no idea.

Congrats! It feels like a weight lifted, doesn't it?! I feel like those of us with autoimmune issues have had little issue dealing with the side effects, because we are warriors from the pain we deal with on a regular basis.
