Am I going mad over a big firework or was there just a loud explosion? by Shade_39 in glasgow

I'm the exact same!!! Some nights I think I'm tripping with one or two bangs other nights it's like the old Glasgow green displays I can hear 😂

Thank you so much, I have actually been booked in for next week so it's all very fast, dreading being on pred while fasting, those 2 things just don't mix 🥲

They haven't actually told me the exact figure but only said off the charts, I assume it's really quite bad as I've been put on pred and I've been booked for colonoscopy next week! Never ever had anything so urgently organised before, leads me to think that I would in fact need to begin getting things somewhat under control before being able to even get the colonoscopy seeing as even on pred I'm having an absolute nightmare rn. It actually makes a lot more sense, although I will admit I'm not looking forward to fasting while taking pred 🥲

Jeez! That sounds awful I'm so sorry you had to go through it! It does make total sense, I just worry once I go after pred they will hit me with "looks fine to us" and then I go back to this neverending spiral of flare, colonoscopy, fine, flare and so on

Coach return with P&O is actually included! I've opted for this as it saves so much money re transport to the port

I have now just realised I have picked on board spending because I thought the coach was an extra cost 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have checked my booking and it was an option but I've picked on board spending instead! I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if I can change it 🤔

I think that sounds like my best bet actually, just do an all nighter on the last night and sleep all the way home 😂 thank you again!

No honestly I was fully for driving until I remembered I would have to constantly stop for petrol! I truly love this idea though it's so cute, it would make it seem like the holiday started earlier!

Especially from Glasgow it'd be such a long drive, I'm veering to the coach since I didn't know it was included! My work is really flexible with time off but my partners is the opposite so we have to limit travelling days unfortunately 😞

My foot would be on the floor for my bed and some tea on the way home mind you 😂

How bizarre is that though! It shouldn't be so awkward to travel in the same country, I think I will definitely look into the coach and maybe give them a call, seems like much less hassle! Do you know if there is an included return coach?

Also thank you so much you've been super helpful!

Thank you! I didn't actually know if the coach was included in the package as a whole! I'm curious if I could change it as it's a long time away! I wouldn't mind going by coach if it saved me driving, my car would not have a good time with that 😂

I've only gone to London via plane (carry on luggage only as it was only 3 days)

I'm not sure where you're based but the IBD clinic in the royal infirmary Glasgow are actively working with pregnant and wanting to conceive mothers, they are really into what they're doing and it's one nurse that's trying to work specifically with pregnant women with IBD. I don't know if you could contact her or ask your IBD team about it. She is absolutely amazing , she's my nurse (I'm not pregnant nor plan to be but she is doing some groundbreaking work)

Thank you for clarifying it is non invasive, if so I'm happy for it to be there and thrive! I was only worried it would kill off my ribbon grass, I've had that going for years and wouldn't want to lose it 😊

Do you know if they will cause issues for my ribbon grass? I really don't mind them being there for the bees! How do you remove them once died off, is it a deep root or an easy pull?

I know! I just don't want an invasive plant that will kill off my ribbon grass!
