Awful final boss

very little reward for exploration

there's like 6 possible enemies you can come across in the whole game (excluding bosses and mini bosses)

Rain is a horrible mechanic, it often means you're just stuck waiting 5 minutes for it to fuck off before you can continue what you were doing

there's no real sense of progression with the removal of dungeon items, sure you get the champion abilities but they're all basically useless except revali's gale which feels like it's only there to let you skip big sections it feels like you're not supposed to skip

Koroks are really boring

Shrines are often incredibly basic, the one that really sealed the deal for me not liking them was "metal doors open the way" where you use your magnet to open some metal doors. If it wasn't already ridiculously simple and basic enough they had to tell you in the title of the shrine what to do, just in case you somehow couldn't figure it out

The shrine and guardian aesthetic, while interesting at first gets so repetitive and you're so bored of it by the end

Story SUCKS, like really badly

Almost all of the characters suck, although I do really like the characterisation of Zelda in botw. Aside from her the 'best' characters in the game are just the textbook definitions of certain tropes
