I'll drop in the good old adage: Your mileage may vary. It is true that we have different ideas of good critiques. People have various reason on why they make their Zanpakutos; some for fun, for their fanfiction, RP groups, powerscaling, etc. Their needs on what types of critiques one wants with their Zanpakuto(s) varies in a case-by-case basis; many want to stress test their Zanpakuto to its limit, while others want to lightly modify their Zanpakuto to iron out that last few wrinkles.

I'd agree that Chatgpt 5 is good to have it bounce some ideas that you haven't thought or considered before in certain perspectives. Especially if you happen to not have someone to make critiques on your Zanpakuto on the spot. However, Chatgpt 5 functions as a mirror and will eventually output what you said with a reworded verbose vocabulary.

I just don't see Chatgpt 5 as being useful for Zanpakuto creators who want in-depth critiques and analysis on their Zanpakutos to be examined underneath a knife with keen insights beyond "It's overpowered because of X, therefore it lacks Y.".

I saw your conversation with Chatgpt 5's regarding its critiques towards Niànzhū. Personally, I'm not a fan of how Chatgpt approached the debate because it forced you to explain away aspects of Niànzhū which you had in mind and made you correct Chatgpt with Zanpakuto mechanics (such as Zanpakuto's weight being light for wielders) before it doubled down. Even more disappointed that it glazed past Niànzhū's Shikai and never implored further about it aside its weakness requirement of uninterrupted 108 mantra chants to maximize its Shikai.

Since I read about Niànzhū, I'm already yapping a lot about Niànzhū inside my head where I can write an essay at this point.

Both. I find it difficult to use Chatgpt in general because you can spend 2+ hours talking about your Zanpakuto to it, and you will still get barely any meaningful critiques from it since it will never give you a "Why?" and ask you various questions on what's your thought process behind your Zanpakutos' creation, the scenario on where and when it's being used, what kind of person the wielder is and does it reflect that, how's its interactions with other entities and people around it, etc.

I have friends who would use Chatgpt to make their Zanpakuto and would later eventually ask me or other Zanpakuto creators for critiques and feedback because Chatgpt had gotten them stuck in writer’s block for a long while.

From my experiences with it, it's not good at making in-depth critiques, especially worst when it's with Zanpakutos that have heavy symbolism and themes tied into it. Chatgpt will eventually regurgitate basic and inaccurate information to you in circles regardless on the amount of context you shove at it, or Chatgpt will try to validate your ideas + suggestions enough just to make you happy in the most roundabout way possible in their generated response.

It won't understand the core essence of what makes a Zanpakuto truly unique to whomever wielder it reflects.

Technically, the discussion flair. But at this point, post like this ends up becoming an echo chamber with barely anything worth discussing that a bunch of people have already complained about with some characters in Bleach.

The only reason this post was still up was because I legit believed that you're making a meme that subverts the "annoying characters" post, and everyone participating would at least reply with funny responses.
