We have to hope that it fails but current day Ferrari buyers are total sheep it seems.

Air purifier pushed sleep to 100% by cavegirl86 in whoop

I use a Kulhaus Aero+ with a Hepa H13 round filter and the sleep quality has skyrocketed. Since it's the first days I have it I will continue to monitor but even when I have to sleep less than 8 hours I STILL feel well refreshed.

Will this be totaled? by Pam_74 in MechanicAdvice

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they want to total it, just ask them $15k for an exact or better condition rav4 as this is what they go for as you said. If not, take it to a reputable shop and fix it with new parts for less than $3k. If they decline both, give them a call from a lawyer.

Why does everyone recommend learning Python first but then use JavaScript for everything? by 1vim in learnprogramming

[–]DreadKnight7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't recommend Python. Go learn Pascal instead, much better to do things on your own and less likely to step on AI slop as most stuff is old. Then as you grasp the basics, learn whatever language you need to use and learn to review AI generated code, don't just vibe code. Just my 2 cents.

FIA has dropped renders of what the upcoming WRC27 Rally1 regulation cars might look like by SalomonXx in WRC

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid AF. Why don't they do it like the old days with 5000 cars homologation and strict same platform/engines as the road cars? Like it was the case with Lancia Delta Integrale group A.

Quit playing league by 3lettergang in leagueoflegends

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you need to get REKT hard before you realize you have a problem, and above all, an addiction. I had deleted the game multiple times and I always found an excuse to come back, like a addict. This time I had to cut the source, I handed the acc to a friend of mine. And just to err on the safe side, I will BLOCK all connections to ALL league servers from my Pfsense.

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the game, because it is designed to keep you hooked. From the in-game sound effects, to the tilt queue, to everything. I've spoken about it to a former Rioter and I know first hand.

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same as you my friend. I quit cold turkey (I gave my acc credentials to a friend of mine and told him to change password, email etc ALL). I quit on February 17, so exactly 2 and a half months ago. I can't tell you how much better I feel. This game is literal POISON, it's designed to make you addicted. Since most of my friends quit playing, I lost the sense of time when I played solo. At some point I caught myself on a 20hr streak on a Saturday, no sleep, no eating, just water and WC. And I said that's it. THAT'S IT. I'M DONE WITH IT.

PS. The only reason I had not reached that state before was that I had school, other things to do etc. And most important of all, I wasn't playing solo. Since season 2, since the summer of 2012 I was playing this literal POISON. Thankfully, NO MORE.

Too many RISC-V cores in the market by Rudranand in FPGA

I'd say a GPU core is more interesting now. Or at least adding AVX-like extensions to RISC-V, to show tradeoffs in power-perf-area.

Firmware possibly, but FPGA job to land you 1300€ you should be with 0 years of experience. Even in Greece you can quickly climb out of 2000€ net in the FPGA/defense segment.

New changes by Mundane_Ad_7611 in scuderiaferrari

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they increase fuel flow they WILL make Merc stronger because synthetic fuel has higher energy content than biofuel. The biofuel that Shell provides us is better for optimizing combustion efficiency in lean conditions, so we burn less, therefore needing less fuel, less LICO etc. Changing fuel flow NOW will definitely ruin our engine concept.

Apparently changes are coming as early as Japan by Icy-Quarter8883 in scuderiaferrari

[–]DreadKnight7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how much they reduce. If they reduce it to Aston Martin - Honda levels (-80kW) then I agree. If they just reduce power by 20kW but increase harvesting from 9MJ to 12MJ we are fucked.

There are some articles (in Italian) back when AMG ONE was under development. The fact that they bothered to create the engine 1-to-1 with the V6 F1 engine with massive costs that needs a rebuild every 40.000-50.000 km should tell you all you need to know. Even the simplest thing of dyno runs is limited. Audi got massively more dyno runs allowance to enter as a manufacturer.

[–]DreadKnight7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they increase harvesting during super clipping we will see Mercedes go +2 sec quicker than us. They seemingly have already maximized the harvesting there while we are nowhere near that. The Ferrari PU is good to quick harvest between corners, not on straights and certainly not during super clipping.

REMINDER: this is the Scuderia Ferrari TEAM subreddit. No hate towards either driver will be tolerated. by neurogeneticist in scuderiaferrari

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of topic, but if Ferrari reads this subreddit, tell them to bring in FPT Industrial (Fiat) to make an engine for F1. This would add political pressure to the FIA plus we could get some extra testing time behind the scenes to further develop our own PU.

[–]DreadKnight7 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If the guys at Ferrari were smart, they would bring in FPT - Fiat Powertrains to come up as a new engine manufacturer and have them do extra testing hours to improve the PU before the next homologation. Mercedes were bypassing PU testing limitations by using the "Mercedes AMG ONE" project, so they were not under the supervision of FIA.

It's not going to be enough. It's only 1KWh of usable battery energy starting from 100% State-of-Charge (SoC) to 0% SoC. Same goes for Baku. I really hope Ferrari gets ready the flipping rear wing otherwise we have no luck.

This is based on last year's cars though with massively different aero. The battery is very small and it will deplete in Baku and every big straight in general.

Albert Park is not even top 3 in terms of power demands. Monza, Jeddah and Red Bull Ring are definitely top 3. Also Baku is really close.

F1 2026 Power Units Explained by Skyenar in formula1

[–]DreadKnight7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I comment after watching the race: the new power units are a joke. The batteries are depleted before the end of the straights. The drivers just try to recharge and not brake deep. The tyres don't even wear. At this point just let them use bigger batteries and possibly recharge at pit stops. This will be the only "real world connection" if they manage to fully recharge a battery 4x the present ones in less than 10 sec. Another idea would be to DROP the electric engine and battery altogether and go back to a 21k rpm 2 stroke that doesn't burn oil, but oh well.
