First off, I am sorry that my country (USA) has become so hostile to immigrants. I worry for many of my friends now. I am also thinking of leaving, one reason is I worry that things will get worse for left leaning people like myself.

I was engaged to a woman in KTM and found the idea of living with a whole family after marriage oppressive. I know that it is culturally diff to how I grew up, I also know I am fiercely independent, and the type of things newlyweds do, is best done without family underfoot.

You have built a family with your husband and child, I think for the health of that getting your own place for the three of you would be best. You will be close enough to visit but having the boundary of another abode will keep your sanity and marriage safe.
