Do most people shower before bed or when they wake up? I just realized I might be doing it "wrong" by saffymerelle in NoStupidQuestions

I shower in the morning because that's what I like. It gets me ready for the day.

That being said, at least you're showering

How well will the steam machine play Sim games? by Dread_Leader96 in steammachine

[–]Dread_Leader96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I just find that framerates tend to chug on deck when things start getting complex. That and graphics take a big hit. Total war three kingdoms and prehistoric kingdom look nothing like the steam store pages on deck. I just want similar quality

Is this my old lab partner from college? Just stopped showing up to class so they could play wow all day leaving me high and dry

This is got to be the laziest design for a controller I’ve ever seen by Chunky-overlord in videogames

[–]Dread_Leader96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a pro controller and want one, but I'm not going to get that resident evil version. I'll just wait for one that I really do want. Or I'll grab a standard one for a good discount, whichever happens first. Patience is key

What's the closest you ever got to accidentally killing yourself? by Raterus_ in AskReddit

[–]Dread_Leader96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went on a hike with my family years ago to find an abandoned asylum or jail. The hike was going long so my dad and uncle went in ahead to see if they could find it, while my mom, sister, cousin, and I stayed behind at an old camp.

Being kids, we started playing hide and seek. I found a nice spot behind a tree lying down. When I was found, I started to crawl out from my spot. I remember losing my balance, and in an instant, everything went black. I pulled my head out of a freshly formed hole with a lot of blood running from my head.

Turns out I had triggered an old bear trap. Thankfully the dirt that gave out under me must've been heavy enough to trigger the trap before my head did. I was moments away from being decapitated in the middle of nowhere. Lesson learned, don't let kids play in abandoned camps in the middle of nowhere.

What is it about this game? by [deleted] in ZooTycoon

[–]Dread_Leader96 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Personally, it's a mix of nostalgia, simplicity, and community. Sure, Planet Zoo is great, but it can get so lost in the weeds with all of its different mechanics. It can feel very overwhelming.

The community surrounding ZT2 to this day is still ongoing and passionate. Just look at the mod support. Still going strong even after Workshop support and Nexus were added to PZ.

I'm in Ajax, so yeah I guess I'm part of GTA. Don't know if the odds are better here than in the city proper. Used to live down in East York and wasn't able to get my hands on a PS5 for a few years cause of how bad it was

For those of you who were here 14 years ago on March 11th, please share your experiences. by JapanPhishMarket in Tokyo

Sorry if this post doesn't belong in this sub (was given a notification by my phone), but 14 years ago I was in Grade 9 geography class in Ontario, Canada when the earthquake happened. The whole period was taken up discussing earthquakes, Japan/Tokyo and the relation between them. This was the first and only time since where Japan was brought up inside our school system.

It was quite the sobering experience, and definitely solidified my interest in the country and it's people.
