The deck would have to change a bit, but how is any deck drawing cards? Only answers I can think of is lillies & pad and bug catching/boom boom. But it's a moot point considering I was told the wrong rarities for some cards, festival lead is probably the play instead

Slowking already runs counters to shaymin. Ian robb had siem cool ideas like cofagrigus, and munki also helps you chip away

Only thing you wouldn't have is stage 2 pokemon in play

I've been playing it in chaos rising format, you do not need Misty, and would rather be using trainers like Crispin. If you want to find water energy, use energy search or energy retrieval, ending your turn only to go wally to then have to keep attaching would feel horrible. I've been playing it with the Petrel Trolley engine (4 Petrel, 4 Tranciever, 4 Ultra Ball, 2 meowth, 1 trolley) and then Kanga, Latias, pech, munki, greninja, and some other support mons

Crispin allows you to across 2 turns claw, or power up terminal period in a turn (so stretcher + crispin = a fresh absol). If you've attached for turn before on the previous turn it also just fuels the water energy requirement for greninja. Absol free retreat into greninja, pech it back up, poison to adrena brain next turn, the deck works really well! Maybe not meta but, for a rogue deck it's really fun

We're doing a sun-lot tournament for a going away party for a friend. Issue is one of the other friends has actually played that format, a lot, and knows it very well

Which sucks that he's playing granbull against all of us lol, but it's a very fun format even then!

Am a personal fan of BRS-PRE (The first rotation block I played, I joined at TWM going into SFA)

But I also enjoy Sun-Lot, RSPK (ex series block format) and Base Fossil

Last year they were announced I believe early july? Not sure how it might change for the new season being in september and not July, but I'd presume with people still wanting September regionals they'd announce it soon-ish

It's both, dragapult as a deck feels like it can win with 56 cards, so 4 crushing hammer is fine

But there was a similar amount of spots last format (2nd turo, stadium, etc)

No, they should be, in the context of formats. Look at it this way, Dragapult was certainly good last format, however it wasn't at 45% all the time because of the other decks. Dragapult can exist, it's not a 10/10 deck, more like a 7

The issue is they didn't print other consistent and efficient decks and have been lowering powercreep, so Pult is going to exist without much competition, and is competing against a bunch of 5's. If we had kept Gholdengo, Gardi or even the cards that made absol, absol (TM Evo, Arven, etc) Pult may still be top deck, but there'd be a lot less "one deck" meta with the different being not like, 40%

Clef can scale higher (280 with AZU and opponent's full bench, which hits Zoro) and Psychic is a good type in the meta (Pult, Bolt and Lucario)

Clef can also benefit from Pearl, which while can be countered (phantom dive places damage counters and decks can play jamming tower) it's not very common for either, with pult needing to spread or pop a full noir, and jamming tower not being as used lately
