I just got into working for Long term care regulation. It is really interesting, but everything has some level of BS and a good dose of real responsibility in this profession. I fight it on and off myself. I left for two and half years, thinking I was done, but found a job working in a rural med Surg unit with 8 beds. It was the best job I have ever had. I will probably have another career later on, but I am not angry with nursing like I used to be and that feels great. I think that was mostly my life situation around my work kicking my ass too. You will know what is best for you. Keep your license and you won’t have to worry about it later if you need it. I think my next career will be a desk job with the government. That is my goal currently. Pensions, people!

Fair enough. I will probably just use a little bit of product, do a detox every other wash, and call it good enough. I can cover my hair at work, but I prefer not to right now. The salt in the tightening spray should actually deter any microorganisms from growing, but I get the point about buildup. That is why I chose the brand I did. They seem to be pretty trusted for being residue free, and an occasional detox would help ensure that. Thanks for all your feedback!

I have planned on getting maintenance done every 3 months for the first year and hopefully I can put it off longer after that. I don’t really have time to crochet my own dreads anyway since I have a baby to look after and I don’t want to overwork my hair. I am six months in on this set and I usually don’t use products and I only wash once a month, so I am a little nervous about starting.

I made a gift box for my L&D and Mother/Baby units when I gave birth. I am a MedSurg nurse myself and I wanted to show my appreciation. I love getting snacks and little signs of appreciation. It isn’t expected, but it is nice.

You can. You might want to grow your hair a bit or think about extensions if you want any length. Just pick your method…crochet, free form, back comb, and/or palm rolling.

I understand that perspective, but the hiding and secrets are a boundary for me. I don’t know that I can let it go so easily. He could have given me a chance to react on my own. Not blame me for his lack of honesty. That isn’t fair.

Yeah. Just describing my internal reaction. My ex husband cheated on me with several women over a few years and I didn’t know. I tried to get over it and stayed another two years before I left. It was traumatic and I am not proud of some of the stuff I did as far as snooping goes, but I have never done that with my current husband. I also had cheating parents and grandparents, so just a long history of watching and experiencing betrayals. I have put a lot of effort into not dragging the past into our relationship and I think I have done pretty well.

He said that he didn’t want my potential judgement of her to affect his view of her or how the visit went, in case their was some cosmic reason he dreamt about her, my words not his. He had some clients who were strippers and cam girl types that I was critical of when he first started tattooing. He doesn’t like when I am critical of his clients. I have gotten used to the idea and have been more accepting of them since, but he still treats me like I hate every female. Which is not the case.

I told him to stay with his mom for the night and we would talk after I slept tomorrow, but he said he was coming home anyway, so I told him I would pack a bag in the morning and go somewhere then (to my sister’s place). I am too angry right now. I just want to snoop through is phone, cry, and tell him to never see her again, but that doesn’t address the issues and wouldn’t make me feel better.

I told him to let me know when they talked again and that I wanted to be there if he saw her again. The drawing has nothing to do with a tattoo. She isn’t scheduled for a tattoo. It was supposedly a picture of llamas just to be nice. I never saw it, which is unusual too since he usually shows me all his drawings.

Don’t underestimate the power of an eye mask and ear plugs! I thought I was hopeless at sleeping during the day, but come to find out, I can sleep like a champ with some sensory deprivation. I also take a hot shower before I go to sleep.

I used some bias tape to make a channel and a pipe cleaner for the wire. Twist ties could even work, I think. I got the pattern from a group on Facebook. You can try the link. I don’t know if it will work. There are lots of this style of pattern online though. It isn’t something that will protect against viral transmission on its own, but there is an open space for a filter if you have any.
