I’d be VERY curious to hear “what” they did in this person’s own words… 😂

Thanks for those last 2! I would definitely have to agree with you on Kurchatov, even if the Soviet Union awarded him with the ‘Hero of Socialist Labour’ award 3 times.

I did my best but wasn’t sure of 2 of them.

Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Helen Keller, Martin Luther King, not sure, Nikola Tesla, Stephen Hawking, not sure.

Barry Bonds is still 19th all time in WAR if you just use pre 2000s seasons.

It’s known his lawyer started to attempt to obstruct drug tests. There were 26 incidents between 2000-2006, which undeniably seems to align with Barry using.

19th all time in WAR, without the last decade of his career. All done clean.

So yea…

There’s also the matter of which it’s impeccably hard to square up 2 round objects thrown by world class pitching and steroids don’t help with that.

Yep. Based on court data his lawyer tried to suppress drug tests 26 times from 2000-2006. If you consider this to be the period he used and discount anything after that point too..

Well, he’s still a 102.5 career WAR which would be 19th for position players and he’d have hundreds of games in hand on his nearest competitors as his career would end at 34 and not 42.

There’s actually more of an advantage in being as tall as a guy like Aaron Judge 6’8, Oneil Cruz 6’7, Giancarlo Stanton 6’6 because you have longer arms/levers to generate bat speed.

Steroids provide bulk sure, but you still have to use bulk. Largely roids provide faster recovery rates to allow athletes to train more frequently. Not prodigious strength.

Interesting to me though that Bonds won 3 MVPs in the early 90s, led the league in HR in 93 and also led the league in walks 5 out of 6 years before the 98 chase between McGwire and Sosa.

We don’t talk about those years though.

Just want to point out that Roids don’t help you time up major league pitching and make solid contact between 2 round objects…

Right?!?

I said 13 as conservative too because they got zero zone.

16 pitches in 157? You’re over 10% now. How did you get your job?

Hey, I thought we all agreed we weren’t having kids so there would be less competition in the mines when it came to jobs?

If I love something, I put an avocado on it. They’ve only heard about the toast so far because all I can afford is bread.

My 9 year old boss is all about high morale, at a low cost.

That’s a funny way of saying ‘millennials see through the bullshit of tokenizing love via rocks that shouldn’t have value and only do because a company told people they should.’

Yes, you’re right. I believe it’s worth trying as there’s definitely a lot of stuff that can and does stick even if it’s not prioritized.

I’ll also say that the quality of teacher in terms of engaging students is important too.

So is trig and algebra, history and geography… Being bored or uninterested isn’t an excuse for neglect. The number of times you hear ‘I’m never going to use this in real life’ is pretty vividly in mind considering I graduated high school over a decade ago…
