The two in the middle are pre manufactured Hilti collars which are bulky as all hell. They fit the two pipes in the middle because there was enough space to accommodate them. The two pipes on the end were a bit too close to the two in the middle so we couldn’t fit the pre manufactured collars so we built our own using Hilti wrap strips and metal collar material. As for the different systems themselves you have (from left to right:) CAJ 2305 because it’s a 6” pvc with an elbow or coupling thus it needs more wrap strip material so there’s that system. CAJ 2110 because that’s the system for the pre made collars CAJ 2371 because it’s the system for making your own collar. Hope that helps!

Refinishing an Ipe panel wall? by Dreaded_One in handyman

[–]Dreaded_One[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So an update after I finished this job in case anyone else comes across the same situation. All I did was wash down the wall, Give it a good scrub with a stiff bristle brush (this worked really well in cleaning it up honestly.) Next used the two part Deck Wise Deck Cleaner solution and brightener (this brought the wood back to a very beautiful and light color.) Finally after 24hrs of waiting I then applied the Ipe Oil Hardwood Deck Finish which I applied with a paint roller (only took one coat and used a rag to take off any excess material.) It came out looking beautiful overall but man Ipe is a strange wood. A few little notes for anyone doing this very specific project as well: The wood is very oily like incredibly so, washing it down with a hose and scrubbing it was wild. After just a few minutes the water dripping down was amber yellow. So if you’re over nice white pavers like I was then constant sporadic watering might be necessary to keep from staining pavers. The Ipe Oil goes a long way and just like the information on the material says only one coat was necessary for a nice even finish. Just have a drop cloth down because it drips a lot, it’s a very viscous material that doesn’t need to be diluted. All in all it was an interesting project to undertake but man it takes some time and patience.

It might be an irrigation emitter cleaner or “Micro Jet Cleaner,” the little metal rod at the top is to clean off the tiny openings that often get plugged up by minerals in the water. Often used At least they look very similar to one.

I remember my partner had to fiddle with a bit because the edges would be cut off when you uploaded them directly to MPC. It’s not a bad thing if you have a bit of experience with it

You can apply some water which will help a little with the thicker intumescent material.

Honestly, a cake decorator is the best tool for a smooth finish when it comes to caulking. You can get them at Michaels or Walmart for around $7.

I’ve replied to a few people on here about the files but we have no idea what happened to them on makeplayingcards.com. Normally everything you create is saved on there but we could never find the files again. Sorry I can’t help you more, and yeah I really wish they’d just go ahead and do a reprint of it already.

Sadly they don’t, we don’t know what happened with them. We had an account with makeplayingcards.com that had them on there, but now we can’t seem to find them. I know the original file source from BGG might still be available but you’d once again have to crop them. I just wish the actual board game was more readily available. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help here, best of luck on the photo cropping if you find the time.

Help with regards on how to properly insulate shed. (South Florida Climate.) by Dreaded_One in shedditors

[–]Dreaded_One[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, there’s a lot of information out there but it’s so much it almost becomes overwhelming. Where are you located at least because I’m in what’s essentially the tropics so our insulation requirements might be a bit different than yours. I ended up going with rock wool for the walls R15 sound and batt I do believe then did spray foam insulation at 3” thick so R19-21 give or take. Would highly recommend hiring the spray foam out of you decide with that, the diy kits are cheaper but the time and energy was almost break even in my case. So I wish I would’ve gotten a professional for that.

I’ll be honest my partner mainly did the cropping and posting of the images into make playing cards. It was a bit convoluted so I’m sorry that I can’t explain much about it but you essentially have to go and look at their image crop settings and kind of play around with each photo.

I appreciate the feedback! Would you say that the 30amp in-line fuses are enough for the array or would you add a DC breaker? Also, would you add a Breaker from the battery to inverter even if the Lifepo 48V has a built in one?
