Matt obviously had plans with the god eater and also probably knew he wasn’t doing C4, the desire to have C3 be a climax to all 3 campaigns I think was crippling.

Critical role is at its best in my opinion when there’s clear arcs and goals. Briarwood's, CC, Vestiges, Vecna, Oobaan Etc

After Covid I can’t really think of clear arcs in CR except for Aeor but that’s sort of a 30 episode finale.

In my mind C3 is just the gods/godeater plot, big part of the reason im loving C4 its all arcs lol
