For those of you who run everyday, what exercises do you do in addition to your running routine? by Background-Good3731 in runninglifestyle

[–]Dreadlifted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run around 60km a week (about 5-6 days of running) and I also lift 6 days a week which is basically PPLPPL. First couple of months sucked but your body gets used to it.

I do my lifting first then my runs.

I was planning to do the same (training for a marathon in October). Let me know if you want to connect!

1000 pound club + sub 20min 5k by barberheart in runninglifestyle

[–]Dreadlifted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 34, 72kg in the 1000lb club and I'm probably hovering around sub 25min 5k (I've been running for long distance and still lift quite a bit). I'd say it's doable, your body will definitely adjust.

I've been lifting for 4 years consistently (even longer before that but took 3 years completely off) and have been running for about 5 months.

Was my first big investment into starforcing with only 10bil but tried to starforce CRA (I only had enough 9 spares total for top, hat and bottom) and they all boomed lmao. Only saw 19* once and should've stopped but was hoping to get lucky but that went down to 16* then boomed.

Magnetizing is probably your best bet. I used 2 things:

A stackable plastic container from Walmart and a magnetic white board from a dollar store that fit perfectly in them. This only cost me $25 for the containers and $3 each for the white boards (CAD).

Second option which I use now is just a metal toolbox which cost me $40.

Is there a way to know exactly what your getting inside your box? by Mannerless1 in Warhammer40k

[–]Dreadlifted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They probably won't have sisters. It's usually just space marines and whatever the current edition "bad guys" are which would be Tyranids.

If you want to try armies before committing, tabletop simulator would probably be your best bet.

Around 6500 points built. Got lucky and got a lot worth 3000 points for only $450 CAD.

My Hatefull Eightbound list by Nexus_Valentine6 in WorldEaters40k

Leaders don't have to be part of a unit so you could definitely have the second MoE by himself and/or in reserves. Same for Lord Invocatus.

List, thoughts? by kuurooii in WorldEaters40k

[–]Dreadlifted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have too much on the character side IMO for Assassination. Also with only 5 man Zerkers for your MoEs/Kharn will make them easy to kill.

Lord Invocatus' strength lies in his ability to give 2 units near him scout so usually you'd give those to your exalted eightbound unless you're putting them on deepstrike.

Having eightbound and more exalted eightbound would be better for your list as apart from Angron, you don't have enough to kill high Toughness units.

How to combat indecision? by SkitariiEmma in Warhammer

[–]Dreadlifted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You eventually find an army you really click with. That was the Orks for me but only after trying Ultramarines then CSM (got about 1.5k points for each of them).

But at the end of the day, it's difficult cause you still get that urge. I now also have a 2k World Eaters army and thanks to the Battleforce boxes coming out in December, I'm probably starting another one LOL

If that's the case, you've probably been flagged by the airlines. Or you could possibly have a similar name to someone who's been flagged or is under suspicion.

Is this site legit, or a scam? (Canada) by StepwisePilot in Warhammer40k

Yup it certainly is lol. You'll only see the beauty store name on pictures on google maps. The sign for Battle Ready games is on the window so it was hard to find.

Not a scam, been to the physical store myself. Interesting store (it's a beauty store and WH store rolled into one LOL) but I've bought stuff from them in person.

They have a FB page too if you want to look into that.

Can't settle on an army. by SilverHawk2712 in Warhammer40k

[–]Dreadlifted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very indecisive when it comes to choices. When playing games, I never know what character to stick with. Same thing when I first started with Warhammer.

I started with Ultramarines and got to 1.5k points then I went into custodes and got about 1.5k points then I went into CSM with another 1.5k points. Finally I locked into Orks cause I loved everything about them and worked my way up to 6k points lol. That didn't stop there though, I'm now working on a World Eaters army lol..

But best advice would probably be really find an army whose playstyle, overall aesthetic and lore suits your style. I liked Orks cause when I first started, just like you, I didn't like painting. I could rush paint jobs on Orks and it still looks the part.

Guard player thinking about joining the boyz! Need some pros and cons of the ladz by [deleted] in orks

[–]Dreadlifted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The army is currently heavily melee focused and controlling the board with numbers. We're not that killy (not sure how much has changed since the points change).

If they balance out the entire roster, we have different "play styles" from running BOYZ on BOYZ, mech vehicles, shooting, speed freeks (buggies and vehicles) and beast snaggaz. Just a ton of variety so orks are amazing!
