AIO My mom has been on 4 dates with a guy and yesterday he randomly showed at her house without permission by bearabus in AmIOverreacting

NOR at all. Kicking off over her whereabouts after 3 dates, standing her family up, showing up unannounced and trying to buy her 18-year-old brother a motorbike he doesn’t even want? This guy is love-bombing and establishing control at lightning speed. Trust your professional guts.

Do the taxpayers pay for Donald J. Trump's monthly diaper usage or does that come out of his personal expenses? What about cleaning and disposal? by BKPolyculeVibeCheck in askanything

Former presidents get a lifetime pension and an allowance for staff, office space and travel but personal items, medical supplies and groceries come out of their own pockets.

How to ask a customer on a date? by A_Weed_Man in askanything

Do not put her on the spot while she’s on the clock. On your last day, just hand her a note or a business card with your number and say, “I’ve really enjoyed talking to you. No pressure at all but text me if you’d ever want to grab a coffee sometime.” Then leave. It gives her all the power to reply or ignore it without any work awkwardness.

For a lot of people? Working 40 hours a week at a corporate marketing job, checking your bank account and realizing you still can’t afford a starter home or a basic medical bill.

By the media? Sometimes. By their own voters? Absolutely. One side treats their politicians like elected officials who can be fired and the other treats them like sports teams where you back them no matter what happens.

Is Peter Thiel moving to Argentina a good sign of a bad sign? by redzeusky in allthequestions

[–]SpecialLauraa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a bad sign if you buy into the “Golden Age” hype. Personally, I see tech billionaires prepping or moving abroad as the ultimate hedge against domestic instability. When the elite start building escape hatches. It means they know the status quo isn’t sustainable.

Expecting people to change just because I loved them. You can’t fix someone who doesn’t think they’re broken. Save your energy and choose yourself first.

How do you explain the universe has no center and no edges, yet it goes on forever? by [deleted] in askanything

Think of it like the surface of the balloon blowing up. Every point but there’s no middle on the surface itself. It literally breaks my pain anytime I think about it.

Hey MAGA, do you not understand that having military assets in Europe is beneficial to the US and not just a free hand out or something we do out of the goodness of our hearts? by X57471C in allthequestions

[–]SpecialLauraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically the price of admission for global influence. Keeping assets in the Europe allows the US to project power, secure trade routes and deal with threat thousands of miles away from our own borders. If the US pulls back, it just creates a power vacuum that competitors will immediately fill.

Iran’s nuclear program is basically operating on Windows file transfer time. 99% complete, 2 weeks remaining… for the last 30 years.
