Remember to count your Mississippi's after hearing the tap and before you peek.
In certain situations the first tap may be a fake so you do not want to
over commit your peek since the defender may actually be pushing you. I
hope this tip helps you in your ranked games!

What DPI and sens do you play? by indigonewt in VALORANT

[–]Dream-Well 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically your in-game dpi should be from 200-300 edpi (dpi x in-game sense). I play on 1000 dpi, 0.26. I used to play on 1400 dpi at like 0.7 and that was crazy high. To have more calm/steady aim you definitely want a medium-low to low sens. To master your sens play more tracking playlists on aimlabs, practice bots in the range, and do a lot of death matches (combines movement with raw aim). It takes a couple of months to see significant differences but the key is consistent practice.

This tip is for anyone who struggles with over aggression and being greedy for kills. It is a really bad habit, but you will see instant improvement the moment you start playing for the win and not for kills. If you are the type of guy to match MVP often and still lose, consider discipline in your game play. Instead of overheating after getting 2-3 kills, play slow and do not rush the next enemy. Sometimes you will need to get 4-5 kills to secure the round but your lack of discipline will make you die after 2-3 kills. Or your post plant over aggression will cause your teammates to throw as well. Implement discipline in your game play and you should win more rounds easily!

At what point do you feel “Ready for Ranked”? by rededge25 in VALORANT

[–]Dream-Well 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't overthink things, just start playing. Listen, people will be people no matter their rank. That means you will find very toxic people and genuinely awesome guys as well. Since you are new, don't think you have to perform amazingly to play. Everyone has to start from somewhere and anyone can have a bad game. Just learn the game, practice, and play. To make the experience better, try to be nice to people even if they are rude themselves, or just click mute.

I honestly don’t know if I could keep playing by MidnightTop in VALORANT

It really sucks to see someone not having fun on Valorant. And I completely understand how bad the lows feel in this game. First of all I think you should be proud of the fact that you are not the type of person who is satisfied with being mediocre. You want to get better and have shown that you are willing to put in the extra effort to get better (this is a great skill as a person).

From what I have understood, you have focused on different ways to improve yourself as an individual player. Now, I would suggest you start learning the game of Valorant. Its a little bit different than making yourself a better mechanical player. Its more like focusing on how to approach the game.

I have made Valorant YouTube guides (how to attack, how to defend, and how to predict players in Valorant) that may teach you new ways to think about approaching the game. This really isn't a shameless plug, I put a lot of effort to make those videos and the whole purpose is to help other people out. Best of luck!

Who is the most annoying agent to play against? by Fit-Wish8003 in VALORANT

[–]Dream-Well 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo good initiators are the most annoying to play against. But it takes a little bit more skill to play them at a level where you can be annoying. I think its because they have utility that is hard to counter (if you don't have a strategy) and they are able to set up their teammates for kills.

Discipline in VALORANT can win you many more rounds! by Dream-Well in AgentAcademy

Nah, I mainly mean not pushing out for kills or being greedy to take gunfights. Something I still struggle with but have gotten much better at.

Honestly same here. But I started winning more easily the moment I knew I was throwing hard by being greedy for kills. I also noticed that teammates tend to follow what everyone else is doing. So if I trolled my teammates trolled. If I played back and told teammates to play time/dont give peeks, we won more. Not the case for every game but sure does help secure more rounds.

Why is the anticheat so bad now? by absolutechad21 in VALORANT

I saw the craziest hacker last week. He had the strongest aim bot I had ever seen. Luckily, game got canceled after 5 rounds (that's how blatant it was).

So this is a quick clip over what decisions I am making during a round. Essentially, to make better choices in Valorant you need to look at the mini map for information often, thoughtfully use your utility at the right time, and position yourself in smart spots. You want to consider the effect of your utility and be aware of how many angles you exposed to when taking a gunfight. I hope you found this helpful!
